Beautiful Tonic Die card by Janet

Good Morning Ladies,

We are back from our mini break in London, we had a lovely time, it's just so nice to relax and spend time on our own, without the chaos of a housefull of family, 1 dog, 2 cats and 3 orphaned lambs!!
Our first few hours in the hotel took some adjusting to, the silence was something we had forgotten about, we soon got used to it!

The highlight of our trip was definitely seeing Phantom of the opera, I wasn't sure what to expect to be honest,  we were both gripped fron the first moment though. We didn't do much on our last day, the weather was a bit miserable and quite chilly, we had a walk around Covent Garden and then slowly made our way through the back streets, including Carnaby Street, which has some bizarre shops! We stopped for lunch and then got the bus home.

Today's fabulous card is one of Janet's 'Tonic' die cards, Janet has used a beautiful teal coloured card with some mirror card for that touch of luxury,  Janet has embellished her card with three beautiful butterflies.
Thank you so much Janet for sharing your gorgeous card with us. XXX

Karen & Alan...Happy 43rd Wedding Anniversary,  i hope you both have a lovely time London, I am sure you will love your Surprise Karen xxx

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

    Janet-what a beautiful card, it’s gorgeous.

Sandra-glad to hear you enjoyed your few days away, despite the miserable weather yesterday.

We have sunshine again today-it was lovely yesterday too.

I had hoped to spend some time in my craft room yesterday evening but I didn’t feel up to it, I wasn’t feeling 100% so I just looked at a few things then had an early night.

  2. Morning Everyone
What a surprise I had when I opened up this morning to see my card.

This is the last die set I bought before Tonic moved back to C&C. The set is 'BUTTERFLY MOSAIC STAINED GLASS WINDOW' and as usual with Tonic dies it is wonderful to use.
My card is 8x8 basic card blank coated with sticky backed paper and covered in Creative Expressions Iced Snow. I then used Tonic teal card to cut out the corners and the main circle and the butterfly sitting on a daisy which is the middle embellishment.I used silver mirror card for the detailed circles and finished off with three butterflies and some very fine teal coloured strands which has the texture like horse hair.
I apologise for the quality of my photograph.

K&N went very well and everyone liked the card. I'll send a picture to SANDRA and ask her to let you all see it.

The CAFE is OPEN waiting for you all to pop in for a chat and a cuppa.
HUGS are on their way to you all with loads of extras for Dear Friends not feeling too well.Have a good day.Take care everyone. xxxx

  3. Pretty card JANET Thank you for sharing

Yes, today is our 43rd wedding anniversary and we’ve woken to lovely sunshine just like on our wedding day I knew Alan had said about going into London as he asked me to book Thursday off work
At one minute past midnight he presented me with a lovely card and poem with tickets to see The Lion King - a Show we wanted to See last time but the tickets were wildly expensive and we wouldn’t have sat together either I am so excited

We have a bit of a sombre occasion first We are burying MIL’s ashes and then going straight to London to relax in hotel before the show

As SANDRA has said it’s nice to get away from our everyday world for a while

Take care all I hope you’re all recovering Special hugs to LYNDA VAL LILIAN MARIA BRENDA xxx

SANDRA lovely not cards yesterday from across the pond. I'm not sure what happened to my post yesterday but it disappeared.
JANET beautiful card from you this morning it's lovely.
Went for a walk up the park yesterday with 12 🐾 as we have our little house gest. Unfortunately I had to sit on the bench while Terry took them further on. Really gets me down that I can't do much walking now
I have a pile of ironing to do this morning. Then later have trip to Tesco for post office & I want to get some salad for dinner I'm trying to get back into my diet 🤔🙄.
I want to try challenge card & photograph my AP buys to send to Sandra.

  4. Hi ladies
SANDRA glad you enjoyed your few days away. Hope those little lambs are thriving.x

Off to crib later. Another sunny day here but a bit windy so maybe we'll sit inside as the cards blow away if we don't.

BRENDA I was quite surprised when my GP said that a frozen shoulder can take up to three years to get right but obviously he's not kidding if you've had yours for a year.
    Hope your back is improving.x

LYNDA, MARIA AND LILIAN hope you're having a better day.x

Daily hugs to Pat and Pete.
    Love to all Valx

  7. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today.
JANET, what a lovely card. I love the colour combo and the butterflies are a pretty touch. I’m glad that your K and N ladies liked your card x
SANDRA, what a shame yesterday wasn’t so nice for you but at least you didn’t get drenched like you did last time. Carnaby street is one that we haven’t visited but Covent Harden has so much to see doesn’t it. I’m looking forward to seeing you tomorrow, all being well my lovely xx
I’ve had a day in bed but not so bad now so will hopefully get down stairs for a couple of hours. I really must get granddaughter Paige’s 8th birthday card finished as they are away for her birthday next week so need to have it ready for Friday. Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for all in need. Take care xx

Lilian- glad you had some better weather at last. Still cold tho in the shade. Gentle hugs.
