Good Morning Ladies,

Another fantastic line up of cards this week ladies, I know some didn't find this sketch as easy as some of the others that we have had, having said that, you wouldn't guess that by the cards you have made.

Anne, I love your card, that background paper is super pretty and it looks as if the butterfly has just taken off from the foxglove.  I love the cute banner you have used too, a really pretty card Anne, thank you so much for taking part. xxx

Brenda, the clean and simple lines of your card work so perfectly, the hint of detail in the embossed background and that absolutely stunning Vellum poinsettia, please tell me what that gorgeous foliage die is that you have used, it is so delicate, I love it! thank you so much for taking part xxx

Ciara, oooh so pretty in pink this week, you have so cleverly created different layers by stamping so accurately. The centre of your card looks fantastic, you have expertly used a mask to create the 'love' and then framed it by stamping the champagne bottles around it.  The floral corner you have created looks so pretty too. Thank you so much for creating such a lovely card this week Ciara, the ladies will all be so excited to see one of your cards on the list. I am already looking forward to seeing your next card. Enjoy the holidays xxx

Janet, I love the flower that you have created for this weeks card, the polka dots match the ribbon so well, adding the sentiment to the tails of the ribbon is a clever touch, its nice to see the DL size card again too, I used to always use this size card, before we had dies to use of course, we then had to make larger cards to fit the dies on! Thank you so much for taking part Janet xxx

Lynda, you have used one of your gorgeous new Inkyliscious cards for you first sketch card this week and I must say it looks amazing, the black frame make the image stand out really well, and the stamp has been designed so that it looks like those grasses really are blowing in the breeze, the flower and foliage spray is all that is needed to finish this card perfectly, your second and third challenge cards are both the 'clean and simple' style cards, it looks so striking in both colour ways, the second card has been embellished with Poinsettia's in silver and the red and black (third) card has been embellished with Sue's gorgeous new Christmas Rose die, which I love! Lynda you have created 3 amazing cards this week, thank you so much for taking part xxx

Margaret, green is my favourite colour, so your card really apppeals to me straight away, but the addition of that gorgeous pop of colour from your beautiful floral topper and the sentiment both add to its charm, I love your card Margaret, thank you so much for taking part xxx

Maria, what a gorgeous Christmas card, lovely background paper with all of those wintery trees, your gorgeous Poinsettia is the perfect focal point, Sue's Filigree Poinsettia die is one of my all time favourites from her Christmas die range, because it is so delicate and pretty.  Thank you so much for taking part. Enjoy your weekend in Essex xxx

Michele, A lovely autumnal card from you this week, those Maple leaves have so much detail in them and the irredescent card that you have used emphasises the detail, the framed swirly embossed panel works really well too, a perfect clean and simple card, (perfect for those pesky men folk too)!
Thank you for taking part Michele xxx

Sonia, oh Sonia I love that paper you have used, so pretty!  is the honeycomb effect a die cut?  I love the effect it gives behind your flower, it works perfectly, as does your sentiment, card making is such a pleasure when you have such pretty papers to work with, although I am afraid that I would just keep it to stroke rather than use!  PLEASE tell us the name of the paper pad.  Thank you so much for taking part xxx

Sue, WOW, I can't tell you how much of a smile I had on my face when I saw that you had made a Challenge card this week, I love that flower you have used and matched perfectly with the dotty background paper that you have used. The flower centre works so well too, is it a button? the two leaves add just a highlight of green to lift the card, you have even matched the ink perfectly too, thank you so much for taking part Sue, particularly as you have felt so rotten this week, I really hope that you are feeling better my lovely xxx

Val, such a beautiful card from you this week, that delicate backing paper with the little hint of pink behind that is also picked out in that beautiful die cut you have used at the bottom of your card. But the highlight of the card for me is that gorgeous, pefectly matching flower, it is so pretty Val.
Thank you so much for taking part this week xxx

Thats all for this week ladies, I know you will love all the cards as much as I have, so much inspiration in one day! Thank you all once more xx

Love and Hugs
Sandra

  1. Morning Everyone
Our display board this morning is just a burst of colour and happiness. So many cards and all so different in every way. Once again it just shows how differently we all think and see the same outline but different.

LILIAN- so pleased you're all sorted and tucked in your little cottage in Derbyshire. Yes Bakewell is so commercial but it's just like all other tourist areas. Do you know that Monday is Market day in Bakewell. Perhaps you might just want to go along and see what's on offer hehehe. Have a lovely holiday and I'm looking forward to hearing about other places you visit.

We're having a real burst of Summer at the moment and today we're already up at 28c so it just may be too hot for working outside.

LYNDA- it was lovely to see you back in the Café so I hope that means you're feeling somewhat better.

Everything ready for you all and all the doors and windows are open letting in sunshine.
Hugs have been despatched to you all. Have a really good day whatever you've got planned. xxxx

    1. Hi Janet. I love your card, the colours are so fresh and pretty and what a great idea to use the tails of your bow to put the sentiment on, I will have to remember that. I have the same sorry flowers as you and did think about using them but as usual I ended up with my favourite blue shades!
Wow, what sort of temperature will it get up to if it's 28c early in the morning? I hope you can sit on your veranda in the shade and craft while Jim gets on with the gate and fence, or will it be too hot for him too? Whatever you do have a good day x

  2. Good Morn7ng Sandra and ladies,
Wowser, lovely cards again ladies. For such a simple sketch I found this quite challenging and this was my second attempt. Looking at all your beautiful cards now I wonder why I didn't have those thoughts.
Lilian, glad you finalyy got sorted out in you holiday cottage. Hope you have a lovely holiday. I went on holiday to Derbyshire many years ago Youth Hosteling with my junior school.and still have lovely memories.
sorry I didn't get back yesterday after having probs with the computer. A friend arrived around tea time and we had an unexpected mealand evening out. Its loveky when it happens like that.
well off to Iceland in a minute to do my monthly stock up. Shops here dont normally open on a Sunday but during the summer months some of them do. They have to pay for a licence from the council to do so of course but with so many holiday makers around it must be worth it.
Hope all those not feeling so good are lots better today especially Lynda.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone. I think the sun is on its way to you.

I hope your shopping trip goes well, at least you only have to face it once a month, you must have a sensible sized freezer, we've only got a fridge freezer so it doesn't hold an awful lot.
I hope you can sit down and relax once the shopping is put away x

  3. Morning Ladies

Another brilliant collection of cards, all lovely especially Ciara's. I really struggled with this sketch and I have to admit my card was very last minute. The swirly embossed background has metallic rub-ons on it, they great for adding a subtle amount of colour.

Our meal out last night was lovely-only 11of us which is quite a small group. We were home by 11.45 and I managed to keep to my resolution of only having 2 glasses of wine!
Housework to do this morning then will watch the Sue Wilson shows after lunch as hubby playing a golf match at 2.50.

  4. What a lovely array of cards You are all so talented ladies Didn't do a card )as you can all see!) but I kept thinking about it on occasions so kept my mind off other miserable things
Your shopping hauls yesterday looked good I don't stamp and rely on Serif which is naughty really because a) you can create so many different and beautiful effects and b) when the pc crashes I get a little stuck - that's one of the reasons I started die cutting
I will definitely be meeting up with MARIA before AP if anyone else can make it it'd be lovely to see you
Off to a themed Salsa event this afternoon, so I'm raiding our fancy dress cupboard to see what I can still fit into It'll either be the Queen, Frenchie from Grease or Robin! Need to make a couple of cards this morning and the ironing keeps looking at me

  9. Hi Sandra and everyone. Sorry for not popping in over the last couple of days, but I see you've all been busy buying lots of new crafty stash and making some gorgeous items! As for today's display, well it's just stunning. So many beautiful creations from the one sketch, they're amazing :-)
Thank you for your lovely comments on my card. The honeycomb detail is a die, but can't remember where it's from. The patterned paper is from the Rondelle collection by Prima Marketing. Just love these and have had them a while - thought it was time to stop stroking and admiring them and to start using them, lol ;-) The plain coloured card stock was from another collection, all I can tell you is that they're by Trimcraft!
Sorry not had chance to catch up on everyone's news, but I hope all are well and enjoying whatever you are up to.

  10. Hi Sandra
Well, what a stunning array of cards this week. Everyone different. I'm sure you ladies are telepathic to arrange that each one is different. On everyone you've all done not one has ever been the same. I say ladies but include Caira in that.
Well done ladies. I see that Lynda has showcased her inkylicioys stamps on hers.

  11. Hello Sandra and everyone,
Sorry really late I've tried different times today to blog, The first two occasions we were in the car driving down to Essex. On each occasion I lost my comment. Our journey to Essex should've taken about an hour and 15 minutes. In fact it took four hours and ten minutes, due to an accident on A13. Anyway we eventual arrived saf and sound. We are about to leave for home now, but will be taking a different route.

What a wonderful selection of cards, all so varied and inspiring.
Ciara was so pleased to see hers. Then Sandra she read your comments and said I have got a whole paragraph to myself, you should've seen delighted look on her face. Thank you so much Sandra she really did feel special.
You asked what die I had used for my foliage. It is a Memory Box die Elyse Christmas Tree. If you want I can cut you some trees in whatever colour you like.
Must get a move on OH is ready to go.

Good night everyone, sleep well, love and hugs Brenda XXX
