Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

I hope you are all well, as you read this I should be having breakfast at Paul's parents house in Devon,  (or a local B&B if the stairs are too tricky) but fingers crossed all will be fine!  I am preparing this post on Saturday afternoon as I'm not sure how good the internet will be, hoping to get all the cards up ok.
In hind sight I think that this a quite a tricky sketch, but you have all done an amazing job......

Janet has used Spellbinders Borderabilities One and Creative Expressions Dainty Oval Frame to create her beautiful card, I love everything about your gorgeous card Janet, including your pretty handmade flowers, thank you so much for taking part this week xxx

Karen has used the Spellbinders Borderabilities die set too and Creative Expressions Pierced Tags to create her fanastic festive card, Karen I love the reindeer background paper you have used, such unusual colours for Christmas papers, I love them, such a change to red and green! That pretty proud Reindeer finishes Karen's card perfectly, thank you so much for taking part Karen xxx

Lilian, your card is so pretty, the background paper you have used is so delicate and pretty, you have embellished it perfectly with the crocheted lace you have used and the pretty Cherry Blossoms, a truly stunning card, thank you so much for taking part this week xxx

Lynda, such a gorgeous card from you this week, I love the colour theme you have used, that backing paper is so pretty with the dark red, with hints of green and gold, which you have echoed in your stamped image, your pretty poppy accents the whole thing perfectly, thank you so much for taking part xxx

Margaret, another fabulous festive card from you too this week, you have used the Creative Expressions Wise Men Mini Striplet as the focal point of your card, the star gold foiled background paper works so well in this design, I love the 'Peace On Earth' die you have used for your sentiment, a wish we all have at the moment! Thank you for taking part Margaret xxx

Maria, oh such a pretty Christmas card from you this week, your background paper is beautiful, I love those reindeers, so cute, the snowflakes that you have die cut and placed as falling snowflakes around your framed image work brilliantly Maria, a fabulous card, thank you so much for taking part xxx

Michele, I love the card you have entered for this weeks challenge, those teacups look so real, very pretty too, a perfectly designed challenge card, I hope to see more of your Mum in law's cards, she has a hidden talent xxx thank you both xxx

Val your Christmas card is stunning,in a beautiful red and gold, I absolutely love the verse you have used, I also love how you have framed it, your Poinsettias are gorgeous Val, this card will fly off the shelves for sure, thank you for rushing to get it done xxxx

Sonia, oh my goodness, such a pretty card, I adore those pretty girl toppers, I know that the Hobby House sell them, not sure if anywhere else does, her hair is just so gorgeous! The background paper you have used works so perfectly and that pretty punched edge gives it a delicate finish, your handmade flowers finished your card perfectly, i'm glad the weather was dull for you yesterday, this card was well worth it!! Thank you so much for taking part xxx

Another amazing collection of cards ladies, thasnk you so much for making time in your lives each week to take part xxx

Love and hugs
Sandra

  1. Morning Everyone
Well the overnight case has just been put into the car and that is the last item as usual. So we're ready to start off for Calais staying overnight there and then sailing tomorrow morning from Dunkirk.
At least we're heading north where the greater part of the traffic will be going south. That applies for both sides of the Channel as this week-end here is the start of the French month of holidays. We will be taking our time with frequent stops for coffee and then the stops as a result of drinking the coffee lol.

What a fantastic array of gorgeous cards this week. I love them all and you are all putting me to shame who have and are making Seasonal Cards as I haven't done one yet but at least I've done all the birthday cards up to November so I can make a start on the others perhaps later this week and definitely next week.

So the Café is looking good. Marigny Dobbie has done a wonderful job over the last 6 weeks and so he is now on vacation until the Autumn when I hope he'll be back on duty here.

Can someone please open up tomorrow morning please as I don't think Sandra will be able to after her journey to Brixham and back. I hope you enjoyed your week-end Sandra and that you're not suffering too much because of the journey.

I'll try and look in when I get to Calais - that is if the tinternet is behaving in Calais. Have a good Sunday everyone and I hope the sun is shining for you all.
Hugs should have arrived for you all. xxxx

  2. Good morning Sandra and Friends, cloudy this morning, very hot here yesterday, but we did get a lot of work done in thr garden, hopefully more today.

The cards are all stunning, must admit I really wasn't sure where I was going when I did this card should have cut background paper twice. Your cards are all so different, so should give my mojo a push.

Sorry Sandra I got mixed up in the days your were travelling, hope the journey went well, and the stairs also. I'm sure Pauls parents are over the moon to have you stay with them, enjoy your break.

Have good day all, I think it's fine today but rain tomorrow, so first thing is put the bedding to wash, took ages yesterday as my washing machine decided to block again for no reason, so had to empty out wet clothes and all the water. Still managed to unblock by pouring hot water from kettle and leaving it awhile then it's ok, still cheaper than calling the repair man.
Hope you are all doing something nice today, hugs Lilian

    1. Hi Lilian, glad you manlged to get your gardening done yesterday.
It's so annoying when electrical goods start playing up. I have no sound on my tele this morning. Switched it on and off at the mains, checked to see I haven't got the mute button on (done that before) but still nothing. Now I don't know whether it's my tele or the communal area thats the problem. Never mind, these things are meant to try us.
      Have a lovely day.

  3. Hello All I'm sorry I've not commented much just lately, days just seem to get busier and busier doing not very much really
All the cards are great I struggled and as you card see mine is a work in progress UFO whatever you want to call it I'm not sure I like the glossy black As I still have the reindeer paper (Llidl) I will have another go in perhaps red or blue...
Your cards are amazing and have certainly helped my unblock my mojo (sorry LILIAN couldn't resist)
I loved the Rolling Stones exhibition at the Saatchi gallery. The company was brill and so was the weather Outside the gallery was a food market where we ate and drank Aperol spritzers Then walked to the V&A, had a quick look around - it was late Had someting to eat in a lovely little fish restaurant and a leisurely journey home
Hope your stay in Brixham is going well stairs an' all
Of to London again today to see a show at Sadlers Wells with a whole gang of Salsa people
Can't wait for our meet up later in the week MARIA I will let you know my bus times today I hope to see quite a few of you xxx

  5. Morning Ladies

Great collection of challenge cards. My submission isn't made by me , my Mother in Law made it as I sent her the sketch and asked for her help. She presented me with the card last night!
Late start for me- we were late home last night from my in-laws. We had a lovely meal (ate too much) then we played a board game= Hotel. It was hilarious as hubby & I hadn't played it before, Father in Law just getting over cataract surgery! Anyway, we didn't get home until 11.30 & I seem to be suffering after overeating last night.
My hairdresser wasn't in a hurry after finishing my hair so we chatted for a while then I got some fresh vegetables on the way home. Before I knew it, hubby was home and it was time for lunch. I managed to sort out a bag of craft stash & magazines for my M in L (who is a very good crafter as you can see by her card) then I got a text message from the Opticians today my glasses & sunglasses (plus hubby's) were ready for collection dose left for Chorley early via the Opticians.
A busy & tiring day yesterday so I think I'll try to do less today, although there's a mountain of ironing to tackle!!

Lynda, love your tag. You have got this mixed craft down to a fine art. Lot of cuddles with Bambie.
Cheryl, I love your candles for x-mas. My mum making up a table centre like this every year with dried moss, forest critters etc. To dangerous to lit the candles really.

  7. Good morning Ladies,
Once again you have produced an amazing selection of beautiful cards, I'm sorry i haven't found time to participate and this is another busy week but here's hoping I can find a moment to take part.
Well the Auction raised over £7,000 ( shows just what a lot of very determined and dedicated people can do) it was a fantastic afternoon ( the auctioneer was from Bonhams in Edinburgh and was excellent) I didn't buy the spinning wheel in the end as it measured 19 " at the base and the shelf I wanted to put in on was only 16" so it wouldn't have looked right, anyway it sold for £115 which was way more than I wanted to pay, I did buy a Shiatsu massage session for £35 a hand held dressing table mirror ( looks like one from sleeping beauty) for £5 , four wine glasses brand new in their box for £2 and on Mandy's behalf a whale sightseeing trip for two valued at £100 for £80 so we were happy with our purchases.
So happy you all enjoyed Tollies photo , thank you for all the lovely comments, he is a Maltese terrier and will only grow to about 12" x 8", he seems to have a lovely temperament so far and is sooo cute.
Sandra , I hope you are enjoying your trip away and are coping well with the stairs .
Love and hugs to all xoxo

Sandra, I hope you're having a lovely time in Brixham, and you managed the stairs ok. I can imagine the lovely sights and sounds of the harbour as you sit and eat your breakfast :-)
Lynda, I hope all goes well for you this afternoon, and tomorrow. Special mention to your lovely card today - are they Heartfelt Creations papers? They are beautiful and I love the gorgeous poppy too :-)
More crafting for me today, then popping to see a friend this afternoon for a cuppa whilst Hubby watches the F1.
Have a lovely day everyone and hugs to all xxx

  10. Hi Sandra & all in cafe,
Sandra hope you are not too exhausted by the journey. Enjoy the change & safe journey home.xxx
Lovely selection of cards again, it is amazing how different they all are.
We are having a quiet day at home today, it is Alan's birthday & that is his wish, Sue, Chris & Christopher called in yesterday so that was nice. I made the mistake of asking if they would like a piece of date cake you should have seen Christopher's face, he ate a piece as sweet as a nut, how lovely to see children eating properly & not messing it around.
Hope you all have a good Sunday sending hugs to all who need them, thinking of you Lynda today & tomorrow, love Margaret xxx

  12. Hello everyone. We have arrived in Calais and no traffic problems. The Tunnel looks very busy but that's normal. Now sat with feet up and Jim having 40winks. We used to share the driving but I cannot these days so I don't mind him having a nap. Happy birthday to Alan. I hope you managed to get some of that date cake. xxxx

Janet, glad your journey has gone fine so far and the rest do the same. Do you ever go down to the seaside in Calais ? Jim, drive carefully.
Karen, love to hear more of your London day out. Sound like lot of fun.
Val, hope your day was good and not to warm.
Has been very humid around here and dark clouds but no rain so managed to hang the washing out. Had to pop into town this morning after WW, the boys needed a haircut. Sad to see BHS closing down, was a weird feeling looking around. Had brunch at pateserie valerie, no good for the waist line but sooo very tasty Lol
Have been looking for a holiday but so far no luck and to look at some of the sites can do drive you insane after a while. Have a good night everyone ,hugs xxx
