Maureen's 2015 ATC's part 2

Maureen's May ATC

A lovely Beach Hut for June

Swimmer for July

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,
Well today we have part 2 of Maureen's 2015 ATC collection ATC's are Artist Trading Cards that can be exchanged for another ATC or given away at a craft gathering.
Maureen has really captured the essence of Summer with this collection....
May : 'Naughty but very nice' wow that could cover so many things, but Maureen has focused on naughty treats like icecream and sweets, just looking at that image makes my mouth water!
June : A beautifully decorated Beach Hut, complete with Bucket and Spade, Sea gull and a Life Ring, that has been brilliantly decoupaged.  I love the colours you have used to colour your beach hut, it looks very realistic, Sue will be excited to see this one as she realised her dream when she was on holiday Devon a few weeks back and Chris and Gemma treated Sue a Beach hut for a couple of days,
what a lovely gesture, I know Sue enjoyed every minute of being in it,
July : Does my bum look big in this??  Well I just love the image of this cute lady in her vintage Bathing Suit, her bum looks just perfect to me Maureen, the colours seem to really fit with the era of the bathing suit too.
Maureen you have captured the Summer Months beautifully with this set of ATC's thanks so much for sharing them with us. xxx
I would like to take the opportunity to wish my Wonderful husband and soul mate a very, very happy birthday, I love you millions! xxxx
That's all for today
Love and hugs
Sandra

Good morning everyone, hope you are all TicketyBoo and ready for the day ahead.
SANDRA, PAUL & GIRLS I hope you are having a wonderful time and the sun is shining brightly for you. Certainly not doing it here that's for sure (well in this part of Scotland anyway) we can always life in hope.
MAUREEN:- your ATCs are brilliant, love them all. Thats a perfect heading for the last one, love it !
Nothing much on the cards for here today although I have noticed the invitation from the Garage to join in their celebrations of the revamped Garage sitting in a prominent place on John's desk!!! Will wait to see what he says when emerges from his Duvet Cocoon!! The invitation is from the garage where John buys his cars not mine!!! Mind you my wee Rosie was a year old past Thursday so she's absolutely fine.
Hazel laughs at my mileage, I do on average 3000 miles per year. Hazel does that every few months.......she's a "gad about" .....LOL!!!
Right place smelling beautiful. There was a big tub of Freasias sitting by the door when I opened up. Certainly a much fresher smell that Jasmine the Cow.
She looks much happier with all her friends in that field along the lane!!
(((((hugs))))) in the basket by the door. I was completely empty this morning. For those who needed them remember we are all here to help. Pop in and join us you are sure to get a laugh to cheer you up.
No one has come in, no one has passed, no one snooping ....... of course it's Sunday! forgot about that. See you all later xxx

  4. Morning - it's me again.
We're up and ready to visit yet another Brocante this morning. The sun has just got out of bed so it looks as though it's going to be a nice day. We have had dull and rainy weather for the last few days and what a blessing it's been. All the water butts are full and at least the roses are looking good again.

Maureen - your ATCs are just beautiful and so appropriate to the months you made them for. I'm looking forward to seeing the next set.

Off now to see what we can find. You never know what's about lurking under rusty buckets and garden tools etc. Will be back later to report.
Hugs are on their way or they should be.

  5. Maureen I love your atc 's they remind me of the seaside postcards you used to get ( in the olden days ) ha ha ! Although the Bums were huge in them!
Thanks looking for the stamp but I think the idea of Stampendous reissuing in a clear form is a great idea as I'm sure it would be popular, the reason I loved this stamp so much was its elegant and suitable for a more mature bride ( that somehow doesn't sound right but you know what I mean) cutsie doesn't always suit . Brenda maybe your friend in the craft shop could mention
The clear set idea to Stampendous ?
Sandra I hope you and all the family are having a fun time and enjoying some sunshine.
I'm just trying to remember maybe it was Jess who has the friend in the craft shop?
    My memory is rubbish!
Just enjoying a big cup of tea and slice of brown bread and jam, funny how sometimes you just want something simple ( a bit like myself I hear you say lol!
Dry here today, and lunch at the Golf Club , a new venture for our caterer so going to give our support, have a lovely morning and love and hugs to all xo

    Happy Birthday PAUL!!!!!!

Maureen-another lovely trio of ATC's. I especially like the last one.

Nothing much planned for today apart from the usual housework. I need to ring Aviva back & change some details on my car insurance policy but thats it. Might actually get cards made today....!!!

    1. Michele, did you see the item on the news this morning about administration fees that Insurance Companies charge for amendments to Policies? xx

    2. Yes Maureen I saw that too.
When I had to change our joint policy, they charged me £35 just to remove Pete's name even though I had to send a death certificate. Even in death they find a charge to suit them. And when my I changed my car well the £ sign must have been flashing in their eyes, eyewatering charges for what? It doesn't take me long to alter me records so why extra £80+ admin charges for someone doing their job? xxx

    7. Michele, glad you got it all sorted. Sometimes a phone call sorts it out better. Thank you for your comment on my cards. I bought the blanks from "The Works" 15 cards and envelopes for £2, I know you can pick some up at shows like 50 for £5. The works ones are scalloped edge and they are good. The Christmas ones are a good idea. I have an embossing folder of a lovely Christmas tree which would look good so I am doing some for posting this year. Your lunch sounds lovely, by the way. Xxx

  7. Good morning. Firstly "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ". Paul have a lovely day, I hope your girls will give you a day to remember.
Maureen, your ATC cards are fabulous, they capture the summer theme as it should be. Not this horrible damp wet summer we have had so far, we did end up having a lovely afternoon and evening yesterday, BUT still needed a cardigan on not warm, warm. So glad you all had a lovely family time.
I got side tracked last night, ( no I wasn't asleep) I was making thank you cards - not for Gillian and Andrew this time. It was Tammy's Godparents 50th on Friday and as you know we are off down to see them this weekend coming. They had planed a bit of a party over a year ago and it is to go ahead, even with SAM still going through chemo and not that great, but he has insisted. Anyway I wanted to give a gift that was useful, ( they don't won't gifts) so I have made a box of 30 little 5x5 cards 10 are pretty basic with "just to say" stamped on coloured paper die cuts like I did for G&A with a big " thank you" stamped inside, 10 I have just embossed and left plain and the other 10 are embossed and a with sentiment banner with again "just to say" so they can be used to send a thank you or just a card for some occasion. They are all done boxed and ready to go. So by the time I did all that and spoke to Tammy for a while on the phone- yes I know she was here for ages, but she phoned to tell me that a friend of mines daughter had face booked tell everyone she was 20 weeks pregnant. Mum is in shock and not handling that she is going to be a granny at 42. What she forgets she had her daughter at 22 so there is a big chance of this happening. Anyway I am pleased for them all. I just hope she comes round soon as a girl needs her mum.
Janet, where is your sons camper van business based, our son and family hired one of these this summer and loved every minute of their week, and are planning to do it again.
Maria I hope you had no more dreams about spiders.
Sheila, so pleased you had a lovely time with Nikki, we use to live 200 yards from the beach,I could see it from the lounge and kitchen windows, and we didn't make use of it, we walk it more now than the 15 years we lived their.
I think Saba was having to much fun yesterday playing with her grand children to come in here, and when they went to bed she did too. Enjoy every minute SABA.
I too have put (((((( hugs)))))) in the basket as I too noticed that it was a bit low, but that's what they are there for. Like we are here to listen, comfort and support anyone who needs it.
Anne, your jam is yummy. Off to have another slice of toast with it on it Xxx

    5. Afternoon Hazel - it is Jim's Nephew who has the camper van business. They live in Holland in a place called HENGELO. Their company is called 'P3-Campervans' and their web site is p3-camper.com. They aren't the big vans you see around but lovely manageable ones. It's worth having a look at their site.
      xxxx

    6. Janet. I know Hengelo well, it was the place we drove through when going from Celle North germany home. I even think it was a furl stop for us. Christopher would like that they are there as they could take their car on the ferry from Hull to Rotterdam. Travel to there, park it and pick up a van and tour, they hired one from some where near Stafford and did that, he doesn't like the big ones. I will pass that info on to him. He would love to own one, but at the moment everything is banked till they fine another house. Thank you as it could give them a plan for next year. Xxx

  8. Morning all the lovely ladies in the cafe
Happy birthday Paul, hope you have a wonderful day and are spoilt rotten by your family. We were going to send you a big gooey chocolate cake but didn't think it would survive the trip through the tunnel so we've put in in the posh cabinet here, it won't last long but we shall think of you as we eat it. Xxx
Maureen your ATC cards are wonderful and really summery too, I'm not sure which one is my favourite but I do like a beach hut! Mum and dad lived opposite the cliff top when we were younger and we went on the beach in the evenings when it was quiet or for a walk in the winter with crashing waves. When they moved hey missed the sea view so the hired a beach hut for the summer and spent the afternoons there with a flask and sandwiches - it was lovely. Thank you so much for sharing Maureen xxx
Well the sun is out here so I'm hoping for a bit of warmth here, it's been so gloomy lately. I'm hoping to have a garden day but I think double mischief will have sneaky plans to get out of it! We are having a roast dinner tonight ( that's why it's going to be hot!). But other than that not a lot planned - it's just nice having a weekend at home as we haven't had one for a while and there's quite a bit of catching up to do.
See you all a bit later.
    Love and hugs xxxx

  9. Hello everyone,
Well, that was a surprise, seeing more of the ATC's. I do enjoy doing them, they are so small that it's sometimes a challenge to find a theme to fit.
PAUL happy birthday, I'm having a piece of your cake with a latte as I type, and I can assure you it's very tasty!! Enjoy your holiday with Sandra and the girls.
SABA, I know you'll be having a wonderful time, enjoy every second.
HAZEL, that sounds like an ideal present for Tammy's Godparents, so useful and not something that's just stuck in a drawer.
ANNE, I know the post cards you mean, and the main artist on them was a chap called McGill. I often wonder if he's related as that's mam's maiden name!
Diane, I'd love to be able to afford a beach hut. Well I have one, but it's a small stamp!!!
I'm off now to a Craft Fair at the Sports Centre for the Nissan Car factory in Sunderland. Better not wear black and white to go there!!!!
See you all later this afternoon, thank you all for your kind comments.

It's overcast but brightening up today and after my two exhausted days, feeling a lot perkier so spending the morning resorting all card candy now that Jamie has put up 3 new shelves in my craft room. Later on will try a spot of tidying up the patio. Son Robin has been repainting the pebble dash and my plant pots are all over the place.

I love the seaside theme of your ATC's Maureen and I remember the 'saucy' postcards too. Why were they always fat ladies and gentlemen though? The skinny brigade would have a field day in these times slagging them off.

Have a lovely day ladies however you are spending it.

  19. Afternoon everyone
Had a good morning going round a tiny hamlet we hadn't seen before and actually found a stool high enough for me to sit/lean on whilst crafting as I need to be above what I'm doing. Jim found himself an old fashioned Steam Roller model which needs a little attention and that'll keep him happy for a while both of these for the princely sum of 9euros. Not bad bagains.
We then went onto another brocante but this time I stayed sat comfy in the car whilst himself went round. He brought my a couple of those little tin pails for flower decoration and said he'd paid 70cents for the pair so once again a good bargain.

we've had lunch and so it's R&R time this afternoon well it is for me I can hear Jim already playing with his steamroller.

Happy Birthday Paul hope you're having a good day and there's cake all round.

  23. Back again for another cuppa, cake and a much needed seat.
It's official I am off my Trolley!! Oh!! Ok! you have all known that for ages!!
While being busy this morning, I kept smelling this funny smell every time I went into the Utility Room. Looked in the vegetable basket to check what was in there .... all Ok! Poured Bleach and boiling water down the sink although I knew it was already clean. Washed the floor again, just in case. Went in later to do something and "bingo" spotted it. When I was shopping the other day I bought 2 Galia Melons. We had eaten one the other was sitting on the windowsill along with a Pineapple ....... DOH!!! I had been smelling the Melon and never even saw the blooming thing staring at me!!!
Had a phone call from my neighbour Isobel. She wants me to help her make a special card for her friends 60th Birthday. In the past I have gone over to "help" and ended up making the card while she dizzy's about looking for bits she never seems to find. I have cut out 2 sets of everything needed to make a nice card. I have made up one card, put all the bits for another in a bag. I will give her the bag and my made up card and tell her just to copy what I have done. She has all the "gear" including a GC but can never find things when I go over to help.
Tea finished, cup washed, money in the pot, off to make the flowers for the cards. xxx

    1. So is the melon ok to eat, or has it started going off?? You are a star to help Isobel. Is she the neighbour who always needs a card within a couple of hours - but there's no rush!!! xxx

    2. MAUREEN:- the melon is just fine, will have it for breakfast tomorrow. You are supposed to be able to smell them when the are right for eating. It's just I forgot it was there and I could "smell" a "smell"
No the lady that needs cards quickly is a little bit older she's only 92!!! Isobel is much younger, thinks she is a card maker but never seems to have time to make them. I have never seen any cards she has made other than ones she has made with me. xxx

  24. I have come in for a " breather" . I have hit two fours and then was clean bowled! Not happy as certain it was a No- Ball! For those who are a little confused - family cricket! Conservatory still standing with all windows intact! I have no roast beef left for tomorrow either! It's all gone - but happy children and adults! My Yorkshires are improving since I stopped washing the tin ! Things I've learned on this blog! Mind blowing! Xxx

And by the way what's this you saying I " gad about" that's work miles I will let you know??? I can't believe how little mileage I have done this last 4 weeks, even with taking Roberta here and there's. Well ladies if all goes well that's me retired but I won't hold my breath to long on that one as, I think It will to much for one person doing nanny, groom, cleaner and taxi service. I might be wrong. They might have found s superwoman. I did a lot but I didn't look after 5 horses and do all the cleaning. Each day. Any way started this over an hour ago, but then Lesley phoned and of coarse Beth then wanted to talk to me, Anna is away on a sleep over. They have been away two weeks nothing has been done and they have brought back all that they took away with them that will still be on the hall floor. Or spare bedroom. The poor girl will be exhusted by tomorrow night. She has to be in for 7.15am Tuesday and will be lucky to finish at 6.30. She has to take Anna to get her lift to school, come back see to all the horses and that means ride 3 Beth is off so she will ride out with her. Clean the house, do the washing and the ton of ironing, then go get Anna, see to a snack for them , see to the horses for the night then take Beth to vaulting. So a week might be about it. xxx

Just eaten-hubby offered to cook so of course I let him! I get to tidy up & do the dishes etc afterward.

I've had such a lazy day. Finally finished both in laws birthday cards, organised a huge bag of craft goodies for M in Law to look through & a few sets of dies that didn't sell on Ebay.
Spent ages on Pinterest then forced myself to turn the computer off as I was getting annoyed at doing nothing! Might start another card later on, if I can summon up the enthusiasm.

  28. Late again. To those who didn't see my comment lard last night thank you all for your kind comments about my pottery. The two hears were designed to be hung up and the butterfly is a plaque which I want to put among my plants. Thought it would look nice.
Went to church this morning and we had been asked in the week if anyone was on their own and didn't want to go home to an empty house would they like to stay for lunch. It was a very nice roast lunch. Of course, me being awkward didn't want meat so had something made with mushrooms. It was all very nice. Afterwards we had a choice of sweets, fresh fruit salad, rhubarb crumble, cheesecake strawberry tarts and Eton Mess. Then a cup of tea or coffee and chocolate mints. Several strawberry tarts left so several of us took one home for our tea. Would be good if they did it again. Still went home to an empty house but didn't have to think about making dinner. Hope everyone is ok. Was good to see Norah on Sue's blog today. Janet you had some good buys today.
MAUREEN. Sorry tofot to say that I love you ATC's today. Love the beach hut best. Always love beach huts. Always wanted one but they are so expensive now. Must have a cup of tea. Back soon.

Well it's been a bust day today, form filling for university first thing then a bit of card making before I went out to tackle some bind weed and ivy! I've been trying to get to it for ages but was struggling until Julian came to help. By the time I went in to put dinner in the oven he was busy chopping things up. We've just finished eating so hopefully the washing up will get done! Just waiting for the Agatha christie serial to come on TV whilst drinking my pimms - what a lovely evening. It's quiet here tonight, lots of family visiting I think so lots of tired grandparents around! Brenda your lunch sounds lovely - what a good idea. Our church used to do something similar at Christmas. It's good to have a roast dinner though isn't it, it's not something you bother with when you are on your own. Xxx

  34. Phew,
It's taken forever to reach here. Had a good day at the craft fair and got lots of bargains, but Samuel Taylor wasn't there so I couldn't get the card I like, drat and double drat.
Got dies (Spellbinder, die-sire, Britannia, jus cutz), jewels, card, stencil, scrapbook papers, 6x6 scalloped cards and envelopes, 2 lots of stamps, and magnetic sheets.
We went to Rachel's after lunch to see the family. Had a nice cup of coffee and told Rachel all about my Edinburgh trip. It's the first time we've been able to sit and talk for any length of time without interruptions! She saw the beautiful box with Patricia's fantastic flowers that once held some tablet, but which I ate, with a stupendous matching card, a gorgeous necklace and my Mountie. She thought I was very lucky!! Rachel immediately tried on the necklace but I managed to arm wrestle it away from her lol.
You all seem to have had a good Sunday and I see that:
SABA is enjoying herself with the family.
Myra, plays for England in the next Ashes Test.
Diane's had a busty day and is meeting Agatha Christie.
Littlelamb's been well fed and is probably dozing in the chair!!
Patricia's up to the eyes with PhD's,
Hazel is retired or not as the case may be.
I've finished my ironing and am going to do a Patricia and have a breather.
    See you later
