Last of Tim Holtz Christmas tree cards

Good Friday Morning Ladies,

I hope today finds you all as well as can be expected,  sending hugs to those of you feeling unwell 🫂 🤗

Gp call ended up not being till mid afternoon,  luckily Sue came as GP wanted to see me straight away, so Sue kindly took me.  The GP wasn't sure what is causing the issue with my liver or the pain, he has bought my blood test foreward to today and ordered an urgent scan, fingers crossed it an appointment comes quickly as the pain is so bad.

Today's card is the last of the batch of cards I made with Tim Holtz Holiday Trees.  This time I went for a blue background, using a piece of inky background to place the matt silver tree on, I tore a piece of white card to create a 'snow bank' to place my sentiment on.

I hope you all have a great end to your week,

Sending my love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                    xxxxxx

Some Throwback Anniversary Cards

Good Morning Ladies,

A day of mixed emotions 😍🥰😪!

We are of course celebrating  Our 32 year Wedding Anniversary in amidst the chaos and upheaval of moving house.  So we haven't really planned anything, as long as we spend some time together thats all I need.

The frustrating 'fly in the ointment' is the news I received from GP surgery first thing yesterday, I had a blood test on Tuesday afternoon,  the nurse said I would hear in around a week if there was anything concerning....well they had results in little over 12 hours,  which is concerning in itself,  the test was for Liver function, my Liver is apparently not functioning very well, I am expecting a phone consultation this morning to discuss the results,  there is a list of things that I have been warned to seek immediate medical attention for, my main symptom is pain in my abdomen, more on my right side.  GP thinks it could be due to the many antibiotics I have been prescribed recently!  I feel sick with anxiety to be honest with you. I will let you know any news as I get it.

So I decided to share a selection of the Anniversary cards that I have made for Paul in recent years, I will shsre todays after he has seen/opened it.

I hope that you all have a lovely Thursday,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                    xxxxxx

A lovely Snow Globe Card

Good Wednesday Morning Ladies,

Well what a day yesterday was,  I had so many things buzzing around my head, jobs to do, things to organise, I literally didn't know where to start!

Lucy and I went to do some food shopping and by the time we were done it was time for my blood test (which was for Liver Function).  I let it be known that my ongoing UTi had caused the first two weeks of our holiday to be miserable!

Today's card is an amazing Christmas card made by Sue, using a lovely Snow Globe.  If you don't have a snow globe die check out the magazines this month, Diecutting Essentials has a  snow globe die as its gift.

Sue's Description:

Another. Christmas card today. The snow globe shape is one of my favourites as you can keep it flat for cheaper posting or build it up with foam tape to add lots of depth in a shaker card style.

Such a lovely card Sue, love your Snowman that you have coloured beautifully.  That background is perfect too. XXX

I hope that you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs to all of you

A Silhouette card

 Good Morning Ladies,

We're Home!!  I was so looking forward to sleeping on our own mattress, with our own pillows, sleeping on naff pillows made us appreciate how amazing our memory foam pillow is!

I am looking forward to not getting in the car today, although I do have a blood test this afternoon, I can't remember what for though!!  I will be giving the surgery a piece of my mind while I am there though!

Today's card was a card I made to use up some of my background stash,  I can't remember what the background is made from, it looks like Pixie Powders or Brusho's . I simply die cut the Tim Holtz Meadow background die out of black card and added it to the background and added a sentiment.

I hope that you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                    xxxxxx

Sue's star shaped card

Good Monday Morning Ladies,

We had a long driving day yesterday, about 7 hours with toilet stops and our long lunch stop, boy was it hot, it didn't dip below 34 the whole day, which was quite a shock when you open the door of the car after having the air conditioning on!  I feel like we will pay the price for the continuous Air conditioning in car and hotel but in this heat there is no choice, its unbearable without it.

Today we have the last part of our journey from Orleans to Calais, we are hoping Paris won't be too chaotic, that can make such a difference to the journey. We also have the M20, M25 & M4 to navigate too, on the plus side Lucy is cooking us a delicious dinner for when we get home, Salmon with sone lovely vegetables 😋, such a treat after a couple days of plain restaurant food.

Today's card :

Sue's Description:

I used a variety of different star dies to make this card. The white base card star was cut using the third largest die from Creative Craft Products Nestables Stars die set which I covered with a pale purple paper from my stash. I then cut the 6th largest die using the white card again. 4 different sized stars from my unnamed die stash cut in white and a slightly darker purple paper randomly placed. And to finish with a little bow topped with 2 small stars and a little sentiment. I hope you like this card. Love Sue xx

Absolutely love your star card Sue, love the combination of all different size stars,  love that pretty bow and tag as finishing touch too.

Thank you for another inspiring card my lovely XXX

I hope you all have a great start to the week,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                    xxxxxx

Your Shaped challenge cards

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

I hope that today finds you all well,  sending hugs to those of you that need one.  🤗

We started our journey home yesterday,  we made good time and got to our hotel earlier than we normally do, so we got to spend 3 lovely hours by the pool, it was 31° so Paul was very ready for a swim, so I sat and in the shade and read my book.

We were anxious to get internet so we could get news from Sophie who is in Marrakech at the moment,  she is safe but there hotel has some quite big areas of damage but it has remained open apart the bar and restaurant.  They haven't been given any updates as yet which I think is realy bad!  Soph has promised to keep me updating.

Now lets have a look at what you have been making.....

Sue's cards are above xxx

Your Challenge Cards

Sonia

Sonia's Description:

Card 1: This is a pre cut card base (it’s quite small) and think it was from Craftwork Cards - I’ve had them years! I stamped a Gummiapan background stamp, added the Sizzix die cut frame and Gummiapan dragonfly. The sentiment is from The Stamp Market.

Card 2:  I know it doesn’t look it, but it is actually a card….had a nightmare trying to photograph it standing up 🙄 I’ve used Sue Wilson’s Provence die set from the French collection. Used the largest die to make card shape, and layered the rest, using pretty patterned card from my stash. I’ve added the Gummiapan dragonfly.

Two gorgeous cards Sonia, lovely ways to use that gorgeous Dragonfly die too, two totally different styles both equally incredible XXX

Karen

Karen's Description:

Here’s a fancy fold card which I found on Pinterest by a lady called Susie Her version is the yellow
My version is pink/purple using A Touch of Ink stamp with DO and Clarity Stamp papers Indian Summer.
It has a sort of latch rather than a belly band.

Mixed Up Saturday

Good Saturday Morning Ladies,

Well we are all packed up and ready to start that long journey home, the weather on our return journey is very similar to what it was when we drove down, today Millau  (our first stopover) is going to be 32° and tomorrow Orleans is going to be 35° but we won't get there until early evening so not so bad.  I'm not sure what the forecast is for Monday when we are back in the UK.

Gina

How amazing is this 'Triple Easel'  card that Gina made, such a great card for both a 9 year old and a Football fan, having the Kit and the Team badge displayed is any Football supporters dream!

Thank you so much Gina for sharing your card with us and giving us more inspiration for this weeks challenge XXX
