Good Wednesday Morning Ladies,
Hello from a very messy craft room, boy did I have some inky, messy fun yesterday, trying a new technique that I had quick glance at on line, it involved Tin foil, Gesso, alcohol inks and metallic inks! What fun, not sure about the results though 🤔☺️
Today's card is the second one I made with the Full of Life papers that I shared with you on Saturday. I used the heart from the 'Friends for Life' die set to cut three hearts down my card front, now the ombre style paper looked a little boring through the hearts so I added some splatters by simply tapping my SU Blend (alcohol markers) with my scissors, which gave a fine spritz of splatters all over the paper, I changed colours asvI went down the paper. I cut the 6 x 6 paper down to fit behind my card front piece, added glue around the back of the front piece and attached coloured paper, then adhered the whole piece to my card front. Now, the heart comes in 2 pieces, the inner heart and a narrow outline die, so I cut that in black to 'highlight' that centre heart. To finish the card I added the sentiment over the top of a piece of iredescent ribbon and added a few iridescent dots.
I hope that you all have a wonderful Wednesday,
Love & hugs to all,
Sandra xxx
Lovely card That paper is a real find
ReplyDeleteOH and I have a sight test this morning 💷 Going to be an expensive visit I know
Take care everyone xx
Hi, sunny and warm here today, first time for ages.
ReplyDeleteJust come back from Lidl not very busy, but well stocked
Sandra love that card, as Karen said that paper is a great find. I’ve started a piece for this week, just waiting for the crackle paste, then I can have a go with my sprays, which I bought ages ago,but
never used them, I have a box to spray in, as you suggested.
Not much else going on ,so have a good afternoon all, Lilian
Hi Sandra and all looking in today. Wonderful cheerful cards this week, today’s is another beauty. I love how you have used simple dies and stamps to make such different styles of cards. We all probably have similar ones in our own stash. Thank you for starting the days with a pop of colour. I haven’t surfaced much over the last two days due to migraines but am feeling much more human now thank goodness!
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone has enjoyed the little bit of sun we have had. I’m going to sit at my desk and try out some dies that I haven’t used before. You will be able to see if they are any good on Sunday….or not as the case may be🤭Take care. Love Sue xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous card. I love the die set that you have used for this card.
Thanks to the sunshine we had this morning we decided for a walk around the buisness park and were Red Bull has it's offices. Got back after an hour and I was shattered but after sitting down for a bit I went into the craft room and started a card. I really need to get some more xmas ones together as well but it won't be as many as usual because the postage prices. it's sad actually. Hoping that your day has been good and you had some time today to get out in the sunshine. Love and hugs to you all, Maria xx
Hello Sandra and everyone,
ReplyDeleteLovely card Sandra, love how you have used the ombré card and added the splatters to enhance it. Thank you for the inspiration.
Had a very restful day today, sat reading for some time and ended up nodding off.
Hop everyone has had a lovely day.
Take care and sleep well.
Good night, Love Brenda xxx
