More Autumn-ness 🤣😂

Good Friday Morning My Lovelies,

Well all yesterday morning I kept getting alerts ⚠️ saying that we were expecting Heavy Thunder storms, so I was expecting power cuts etc, but they didn't happen it was lovely and sunny all day.  So maybe we will get them today?  Have you had them forecast where you are?  I have to admit I do love a thunder storm at night.

You know we all take our work for granted, we make cards from scratch and send them, but when I was photographing thus background afterbI had finished it, I looked at it and thought "15 minutes ago this was a blank piece of white card"!

I started by stamping the leaves and splatters in Versamark and add embossed with white powder. I then creased the card in all directions to create the 'faux batik' effect, I then inked the card with Crushed Curry, Pumpkin pie,  Garden Green & Cherry Cobbler around the outside of the card. I love the richness of the colours on this one.  After I finished inking I wiped over the card to reveal the white embossing and the subtle Batik lines.

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment onto white card in Cherry Cobbler ink and matted it onto a strip if Kraft card and finished with a fussy cut leaf and 3 sparkle gems.

I hope that you all have a lovely weekend,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra xxx

  2. Hi everyone
a wonderful autumenal card , I love the colours.
We have worning here to for very heavy rain and thunders but nothing so far. We hanged the washing outside yesterday and it dried nicely and today it doesn't look to bad. We had breakfast at Frost this morning and had a look around. Bought some jackets for tonight and some fruit but I'm not paying nearly £5 for 250g strawberries, food prices are crazy high.
Sonia, wishing you a lovely holiday however the weather be I'm sure you find something fun to do <3
Hope you all have a nice day whatever you are up to. Many hugs to you all, Maria xx

  4. Hello, sunny but windy, thunderstorms forecast, I hate them.

Sandra love your card, the way you applied the colour is lovely, I’m not much good at blending colours.

Not much done today, must get some energy so I can get a card done, need to find some ideas first.

Sonia enjoy your holiday, regardless of the weather.
    Good evening everyone, Lilian

  5. Hi Sandra and all looking in. Beautiful cards having seen them all in the “flesh” yesterday. I think the 2nd one using distress inks is my favourite as I live the depth of colour. I do love oxides though as they are so easy to blend. It was so good to see you yesterday and it did me the power of good so thank you again my lovely xx
Yesterday I actually got a card made, with a lot of help from Sandra while we sat and had a good catch up.
Today Gem and I went into a bank in Swindon in lovely sunny weather but when we came out about 1/2 an hour later it was as dark as if it were 8pm tonight. And it wasn’t just raining it was absolutely bucketing down with a few thunder claps and a flash of lightening. I went as fast as I could and as Gem wouldn’t go on ahead of me we got drenched just going not more 40 metres before we could get into a shop. 5 minutes later and it was back to sun again!
I hope you all had a good day and managed to dodge the rain. Sleep well. Take care. Love Sue xx
