Good Saturday Morning Ladies,
I hope that you can all relax and enjoy the weekend.
We have to pop to shops this morning but I need to get crafting when I get back, so I can get ahead for next week, I am hoping it will only be a couple of days before I can sit back at my desk.
Soph
This is the latest update of the huge canvas that Soph is painting for the Head Gardener at the Wildlife Park, its to hang in her office until she retires and then she will take it with her.
This one is a close up of the greenhouse, its beautiful, look at the aged terracotta pots !!!
I think there will be tears of joy when she takes it in. ❤️
Matt
Matt's hobby has always been setting up events, lighting, special effects etc, he works for a friend when he's not working, they do many different things, his current one is a Halloween Woodland walk at Millets Farm, (which is a big fancy garden centre).
He has created an electronic mechanism that opens a coffin lid, dry ice then flows out, he has rigged it to be on motion censor. To go in the graveyard around the coffin he wanted tombstones, so he decided to make them from insulation foam (polystyrene). He has added colour with an air brush and tonight he added the written details. I think its absolutely brilliant!!!
Thats all for today my lovelies,
I hope that you all have a good day,
Love and hugs
Sandra
PS: Don't forget to put your clocks back tonight!

A great reminder - one day at a time is so important Definitely do not overdo after the op If you feel you must craft I think we’ll be quite happy looking at throwbacks and I’m sure we can help out too
ReplyDeleteWhilst pottering about in my craft room I found a yarn winder which I’d mislaid approximately 10 years ago So yes it’s been duplicated
Sophie’s painting is stunning The gardener will love it and Matt’s creation is brilliant I hope it lasts in this weather and that coffin sounds so clever
Diabetic clinic went OK I won’t bore you but seems the current sensor I wear isn’t as accurate that used to think …as I’m having huge problems with it I might get a new one that I can wear on my arm (at last!)
It’s a friend’s 70th birthday party tonight Hopefully all three of us school friends that share a 70th next week will be there
Take care everyone xx
Hi Sandra and everyone. As always Sophs amazing talent almost leaves me speechless. Her attention to detail almost makes it look like a photo that water does look real. And Matt has his fantastic ability to turn some everyday items into the most amazing objects. You can see the age of the tombstone and would assume it was a genuine one wouldn’t you! You have such a talented family and I know you and Paul are so proud of each of them. I hope you can relax a bit over the weekend. I’ve had the most stupid headache that has lasted for the last two days but it seems to have gone now. My desk is heaped back up with the last three boxes, one is fully of all sorts of bits and bobs that will take ages to sort but then it will be cleared once and for all. Penny did manage to sneak a quick sit at it and do some drawing last week in between boxes but I’m hoping to be able to do my first bit of crafting within the next few days 🤞🏻🤞🏻Have a good day everyone. Take care. Love Sue xx
ReplyDeleteHi everyone
ReplyDeleteA lovely selection of crafts over the last couple of weeks 😊
Love today’s quote, and absolutely amazing creations by Sophie and Matt 😊
I’m sorry I haven’t been in. It’s been a tough couple of weeks! Firstly with catching Covid, which Mum and Dad had too - Dad is still testing positive! Then my brother ending up in hospital with heart problems. Happy to say he’s home now with an upped dose of meds and instructions to take it easy!
I hope you are all keeping well 🥰
Sending hugs to you all xx
Hello everyone, rain and yet more heavy rain, have put my birthday lemon tree in the garage as I’m not sure how much rough weather they can stand
ReplyDeleteGoing to tidy my craft room this after noon; not sure why I need to pull so much out.
Sonia hope you and your parents are beginning to feel better, we have to wait until November 7th before we can have our jabs.
Your family are really very artistic, both creations are fabulous.
Karen hope you have a nice time at the party tonight.
Sandra don’t worry about craft pieces , it’s better you get plenty of rest.
Have a good evening all. Lilian
