Good Friday Morning Ladies,
These Friday's come around so fast, this week has absolutely flown by, probably because I had two appointments and then out with the girls too, not that I am complaining, I love their company and more so with Lucy if I didn't go out with her she probably wouldn't bother as her days off never match Soph's. They both enjoy taking me out too.
Have you all got plans for the Bank Holiday weekend?
Today I am sharing the Distress Oxide version of the brushstroke card I made on Monday, I have to say that on this occasion there isn't much difference.
The top one is Distress ink, the bottom is Oxide.
The Picked Raspberry does look less vibrant and maybe the Wilted violet, they look more 'powdery' the other colours look very similar.
I have really enjoyed playing with inks this week.
I hope that you all have a great Friday,
Love and hugs to all of you,
Sandra xxx

Both cards are great - maybe the DO one is less patchy? I don’t know
ReplyDeleteGreat reminder as always
As we’re a household that doesn’t have anyone working it feels like an “ordinary” weekend to us
Out dancing tonight and bowls competition tomorrow
Take care everyone xx
Hi, sorry I missed yesterday, I’ll be honest and tell that I simply forgot. Great art then.
ReplyDeleteWell I don’t know where all the sunny weather is, we had total cloud cover yesterday and today.
Like both of the cards, if I had to choose I think the oxide will would win, not sure why.
Going to do my challenge piece for this week this afternoon, “summertime “. Not sure what I’ll do will have a quick look on Pinterest.
Enjoy the sun if you have any.
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteLove both of the cards, you can tell the difference between the distress and the oxides 😊
Had a good journey to Sidmouth from Wareham this morning to pick up mum and dad. The weather was beautiful - sorry Lilian, I hope some of the sunshine and warmth come down your way. We stopped in to see mum’s cousins widowed husband in Bournemouth on the way home. One of my cousins was there with him (who came up with her 2 sisters for mum and dad’s anniversary) Unfortunately their dad can’t travel as he had a stroke about 10 years ago and had to have a leg amputated 🥺 He now has dementia, but it was lovely to see him after so long and he knew who we were.
This week has flown by, probably because I’ve spent most of it driving to and from Devon/Dorset and home 😅 No plans this weekend, I’m definitely looking forward to a rest.
Hope you’re all ok and had a good day
Sending hugs to you all xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteLove both of the cards. Maybe the oxide one is a bit better but I prefer playing with the inks myself.
Good to see that you feeling up to going out dancing Karen. Good luck with the match tomorrow.
Sonia, after this week's driving back and forth I can see you have a nice, lazy time at home.😊. That's what we are planning àfter being out most of the day today. I managed to get an cortisone injection in one knee but not in the heel . Why the doctor didn't know that when I spoke with her yesterday is so annoying .😞.
I hope Lilian that you get some of the weather that we have because it is lovely and unusual for a bank holiday so I'm sending you some sunshine.
Love and hugs to you all and to our missing friends, Maria xx
Hello everyone, Sandra I love both cards but if I have to choose one I will choose the one with friend on. I think it’s the colours they just seem to work better.
ReplyDeleteOur day started off with me going to the Warfarin clinic on the way back stopped at the GPs surgery for our Covid injection. The walk from there to our house is just 3 roads away, well by the time we got indoors I was so hot I collapsed on the sofa and asked John for a glass of water and downed it in one go, I’ve just been listening to the forecast for tomorrow and it’s promising to be even hotter. Good job we haven’t anything planned.
Take care everyone and try to have a good nights rest.
Love Brenda xxx
