Happy BH Monday

Good Monday Morning Ladies,

Did you all enjoy the lovely sunny weather yesterday,   I literally did nothing,   it was just a little too warm,  Paul set me up a chair and the large umbrella in the shade,  he even got me a bucket with some cool water in to put my feet in to cool me down 😍. He did start doing some weeding but I told him to stop as he was in full sun,  it was just too hot.  So he got his magazines and came to join me in the shade.  We sat inside for lunch,  I had a plate of fruit including watermelon which was so refreshing,   I am in my grape phase at the moment,   I love them and can finish a hole punnet in no time.  I haven't had watermelon in a couple of years as we bought some from a market in Spain and my goodness did it make me sick,  I couldn't face it after that.  Paul fancied some yesterday so I cut half up and tried a piece,  so I guess thats me back to eating Watermelon 🍉!

After Sonia's Coffee themed journal page and Maria saying that that's how she felt before coffee in the morning,  my girls are the same, they HAVE to have coffee!  Paul enjoys a coffee but his drink of choice is a cup of tea!   I used to drink coffee but went off it when I was pregnant with girls and haven’t drank it since,   I think that today's world is very coffee orientated,  there are many coffee places in most towns, its crazy.   Do you ladies all drink coffee,  do you have these fancy named ones,  it always makes me laugh when we go anywhere and just wants a 'coffee', not a Espresso or a latte, just coffee with milk!   I think he just asks for an Americano.

On any other day this would be a great reminder, however today's heat deserves a reminder that says 'just sit in the shade and take it essy 🥵🤣

I got my Distress inks out again on Friday and used one of my favourite Tim Holtz stamps,  I popped the stamp in my stamping tool and stamped the flower in Black Versafine Clair,  I gave it a quick dry before moving on to adding ink.
To create the random circles I die cut some circles out a piece of card and used that to add circles of dustress ink around the stamped flower.
I spritzed the circles with a pearl spray for added glitz.  I stamped a simple sentiment,  then finished by adding the card to a card blank then added a few pearls.

Just like last week I did an Oxide version of this card too,  I will share that in the next couple of days.

I hope that you all have a great start to the week,

Love and cool hugs,

Sandra xxx

  1. Hi everyone
Love your card today. The blended circles and the beautiful stamp work perfectly together 😍
Another lovely reminder for us all 🥰
Funnily I don’t really drink much coffee myself lol 😂 I’m a tea drinker. I’ll have the occasional coffee and I do like a cappuccino or a Nescafe caramel latte especially in the colder months as there’s something comforting about it 😊
Another hot one again today, I’m glad you managed to sit out in the shade yesterday my lovely, and persuaded Paul to join you. Way too hot to be doing anything when you’re right in the sun 🥵
    Have a good day everyone
Sending hugs to you all xx

  2. Lovely card I forget techniques like this Thank you for the reminder
This weather is far too hot to do anything much
I stopped drinking tea at GP’s suggestion because of UTI’s and now I limit myself to one coffee a day for same reason My go to drink is hot water and milk - tea without the tea
    Take care everyone xx

  3. Hi everyone
A gorgeous card and I love the colours together in the circles, they are great together.
I might have one or two max of an Americano a day with a dash of milk. I love stong coffee's but my stomach doesn't 🙄
Another beautiful day and I can't be indoors when the sun is shining so no crafting is being done but maybe Thursday.
Take care everyone and enjoy your day. Hugs, Maria xx

  4. Lovely card I love how you’ve used the colours in the circles. They just blend Together so there’s no beginning and no end they just tone into one another And another great reminder.
When it comes to having coffee, John‘s quite happy with the coffee granules where I prefer ground coffee and just to prepared that coffee for myself is sometimes just too much so I’ll settle for a cup of tea. But looking at one of the rose bushes in the garden the other day I commented just how many flowers it’s got. it’s beautiful and then I remembered last year I’d saved all the coffee grounds and dug them in around the roots its certainly paid off, Our council provide us with food waste bins but we never have any food waste because what doesn’t go around the plants goes into the composting bin and eventually ends up back with with the soil.
Another hot day here today I just had a walk around the garden but it was too hot to stay outside. I’m now back in the sitting room trying to cool down. Hope everyone’s having a good day. We’ve certainly been blessed with the weather this bank holiday.
take care of everyone love Brenda XXX

  5. Love your card today, I love that stamp set, I think it’s my favourite.
It looks so artistic especially the way you have coloured the circles.
    Good reminder today.
I love a good strong cup of ground black coffee , but unfortunately my heart doesn’t. So now I have tea or milk and water making sure the tea isn’t too strong.
My challenge for this week is “fruit land “. Not quite sure what I’ll do for that, not really sure what they are looking for.
This sun is a bit too hot for me, I know I was moaning that it was so cold. Do the watering first in the morning and then stay in until later in the evening. Enjoy you’re day tomorrow.
