Good Morning Ladies,
Another great reminder today, I had a bit of a struggle start to my day yesterday, I was on my own which never helps, I also think that I went from a week with something on every day to a week with nothing on the calendar makes a difference too, I do take great comfort in counting sleeps down to something exciting, it definitely helps to have something to look forward to.
I got a call from Warwick Hospital yesterday afternoon, I thought they were offering me a cancellation but no, they did a sleep apnoea risk form at me pre-op assessment, after which I was deemed a low risk, however they check your blood for something called 'Carbonate' the normal range is 22 - 29 mmol/L mine was 30, so I have to do a sleep study, then if that shows signs of sleep apnoea I will be referred for a CPAP machine!!! The sting in the tail here is that I lay awake many nights because I am terrified that Paul won't wake up when he stops breathing while snoring, he reuses to believe its a problem but I'm the one having to do the sleep study!
Today I am sharing the card I made using the Alcohol ink Lift Ink technique. I made a smooshed background with three different Alcohol inks and after it was dry I popped it into my stamp platform, inked up my Tim Holtz stamp with Alcohol Lift ink and then I stamped it onto the smooshed background, I then took a piece of Inkylicious coated card and stamped the inked image onto it. After it dried I added some splatters of the darkest ink
I matted onto a narrow gold mat and then placed tje piece onto a card blank. I placed a sentiment just for effect , as I haven't decided what to use it for yet.
I hope that you all have a good day,
Love and hugs to all
Sandra xxx

Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card, I do love purple.
Sonia, your card for little Scarlett is a work of art.❤️. I love the shape you have made it in and I like to know how you made it into the three piece. Did you use one big piece of card or did you put them together after they been cut into the domeshaped pieces ?
I'm surprised too Sandra that you need to go for a sleep apnea test but perhaps it is because you have AF. OH got the machine after I told them how bad it was with him stopping breathing for many seconds at a time. It was horrible to lay and wait so I did shake him many times. After getting this machine it might not be nice but it has helped a lot and he's not snoring any more either which is a plus 😉
Didn't feel too good yesterday, it was like I was getting a cold but this morning I'm alright so we are going into town this morning for haircut and some brunch in M&S.
Wishing you all a nice day. Many hugs to you all, Maria xx
Hi Maria, thank you for your lovely comment on my card.
DeleteI actually cut 6 of the arches in the base card, and then a strip of plain card, which I scored to size to fit the arches. I adhered the arches, lining them up on both sides of the plain card strip, so that it was stuck inside of the arches. I hope that makes sense 😊 xx
I love your card and the technique but can’t try it out coz I don’t have any alcohol inks or Tim Holtz lift ink
ReplyDeleteAs always the reminder is one and what I need
I am surprised you have got to do a sleep apnea test but maybe because of your AF and blood pressure this will help you to relax and sleep better
OH is going to bowls club this morning and so will take this opportunity to go into craft room for a bit
I need to set up my new printer too 🤔
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteLove your alcohol ink card and the beautiful colours 😍
A lovely reminder today 🥰
Hope you don’t have to wait too long for the sleep study my lovely.
Does seem ironic when you don’t get much sleep, bless you.
Hope everyone is having a good day.
Thanks for all of your lovely comments on Scarlett’s birthday card.
Sending hugs to you all xx
Hi, it’s been a lovely sunny afternoon.
ReplyDeleteLove your card , very clever technique haven’t seen anything about alcohol removal ink. Not spending for a while, want to use up what I have as I’ve been spending quite a lot.
Drs this morning for my Doppler test all OK thank goodness.
Sorry I didn’t comment yesterday, legs were very bad ended up in tears. Goodnight all Lilian
