Good Morning Ladies,
Yesterday was a beautiful looking day, the sun was beautiful, my goodness it was cold though! After Paul finished work (from home) he managed to get all my pots in the greenhouse, just in time as between the girls getting home from work and 6.30pm (about 2 hours ) Lucy's screen was frozen and had to be scraped.
I sat at my desk from about 11am, but didn't start crafting until about 2pm, I was looking at River cruises, we watched someone doing a review of one and it looked lovely, so I started looking into it, picked one that we liked the look of, so went to look at finer details, dates etc, only to discover that they don't cater for people with 'Poor Mobility ', they have no lift, no accessible rooms, even if it weren't for stairs (which would have been a no no anyway) they wouldn't accept me on crutches either as you have to be independently fit to evacuate if necessary, which I do understand but its still disappointing. I will try other companies to see if they have different options. I've definitely seen people on mobility scooters on cruises.
When I did start crafting I decided to create Thrinchies, so I went to YouTube and crafted along with Tracy Evans.
I covered the Thrinchie in Blueprint Sketch, then stamp the flowers onto the background using White acrylic paint. It gives you a light outline of the image, I then painted over the flowers with Acrylic paint and a paint brush. After drying them I took a diamond stencil, spritzed with water and then laid it over the thrinchie, I took a piece of kitchen roll to blot it, lifted the stencil and allowed the water to air dry. I took a script stamp and added little bits of stamping in Versafine Clair Twilight ink, the next step was to add some colour to the flowers, I used Indigo & Washed Denim pencils to add some colour and shade. A few white splatters finish the Thrinchie.
Part 2 tomorrow!
I hope that you all have a lovely day,
Love & hugs to all of you,
Sandra xxx

I love the Thrinchie I really must start doing some
ReplyDeleteDon’t give up on your search P&O and MARELLA definitely cater for wheelchairs etc As long as you book it properly and don’t assume that stuff is in place eg you can book a table in the buffet for wheelchair access on MARELLA and I noticed on P&O that they had members of staff on hand in their buffet The restaurants on board both ships definitely accommodated “poor mobility” Don’t give up coz I’ve witnessed it
Take care everyone xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteA great Thrinchie today 😊
Woke up to a frost, it’s dry and bright but very cold here!
Hope you’re all having a good day
Sending hugs to you all xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeletePretty thrinchie in blue. Like to know tho how you managed to paint with acrylic paint over the flowers ?
Went for a haircut this morning and nearly fainted because last time I'm sure I paid £47 and today it was £55 !! I'm only having it washed, cut and blow dried. I'm missing our supercuts where I paid £27, thought that was enough but they sadly closed down..
We had a lovely catch-up with Son and his girlfriend in Portugal. I can't remember when it was last. So nice seeing them both looking happy and healthy. Hopefully it won't be so long until the next one...
Sending hugs to you all and hoping that you keep yourself warm and snug. 🤗 Take care xxx
Hi Sandra and all looking in. I loved yesterday’s post. Those rub on are gorgeous, so pretty and as you said they are so detailed. I love all of the purple colours too so it was a real winner for me. Great one today as well. I love the blueprint sketch colour in particular. At first glance the flowers made me think of cress leaves, not that I have seen any for a long time except in pre made sandwiches. I loved having it as a child mainly because I was allowed to cut it from the little tub that it used to come in 😍 As Karen said you will definitely be able to find a cruise that is suitable for you. Gems boyfriends German and Grandad went on one late February this year and Grandad was in his scooter with no problems at all. Good luck finding one that you like the look of xx
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is cold isn’t it. The clear blue skies have bee wonderful though haven’t they 🥰 We have been busy the last couple of days. I need a quiet day tomorrow 🤞🏻 Sleep well everyone. Take care. Love Sue xx
