Karen's colour blend card

Good Morning Ladies,

We had quite a busy day today,  hampered by the fact that I woke with a UTI !  It's made me feel rubbish this time,  luckily part of the days appointments was a blood test so I took a sample in with me and asked the nurse if she minded dipping it for me,  she said "of course"  so she dipped, drew my blood and then said "my goodness you have a good urine infection, the strip has lit up like a Christmas tree"!  I kind if knew anyway, but like to have them check it, the gp called me later and has prescribed antibiotics,  luckily I have a couple so that I can get started as the Chemist was closed when the gp called.  Fingers cross they kick in fast.

The girls wanted to pop to the garden centre before Dr's and hairdressers,  so we did that, Soph got herself so plants for her Terrarium.   I get that not everyone would like the plant I shared yesterday,  it was its quirkiness is what appealed to me and the fascination at how mother nature could create something so intricate,  tiny little saucers threaded on a very fine stem, that looks like a thread.

Karen has very kindly allowed me to share a lovely card that she created yesterday.

Karen had the genius idea of using her Colour Box cards to create a background on Serif,  the resulting background is perfect.

Karen's Description:

It’s a piece of Serif coloured to match the card The flower die is John Lockwood and is cut with a one die smaller Do gives 1/8” border The sentiment die is from Temu - my new favourite die.

I really like that border die too,  cutting it slightly smaller is a brilliant idea as having the background showing all around the die cut is like another frame.

Thank you so much for allowing me to share your lovely card Karen ❤️

I hope that you all have a lovely day,  mine will be much quieter than yesterday!

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra xxx

  1. Hi everyone
I was so sure that I only missed you one day and I can now see it's two ! So sorry. I loved your card in the red hues, not entirely sure about yesterday's but weren't you lucky to find that plant on the sale table . It looks quite interesting.
Today's card by our Karen is beautiful and I also like the die that you have used to frame it all.
Talking about haircuts, we are both going in to town this morning to have it done. Mine look like I'm gone through a hedge so well overdue 🤭 Hoping to make a card this afternoon.
Have a nice day everyone. Hugs, Maria xx

  2. I am only too happy to help It is such a shame that you have yet another UTI Great that you had some antibiotics to kick start but I hope that doesn’t mean that you stop taking a course when you start to feel better You must take the full course - nagging mum’s hat has been put away!
I am having fun trying out colour combinations that I would not have used - I’ve got to warrant the spend! The computer screen looks a lot brighter in the photo than real life It really does match up with the Color Box card If the weather stays dry we hope to go for a practice at bowls this afternoon We have our first match on Sunday
    Take care everyone xx

  3. Hello Sandra and everyone, Karen your card is lovely. The colour blending is beautiful, not colours I would have thought to use but they certainly blend together so well.
Maria I hope you both manage to get your haircut. Your hair always look so lovely. I’m sure it’s a joy for the hairdresser to style your hair.
Had a busy day today doing the housework it’s always satisfying to see it done and you can then sit back and relax. Why is it no one ever comes when everything is looking neat and tidy?
Take care everyone have a lovely evening, love Brenda XXX

  4. Hi Sandra and all looking in. Sad that you have a utility but hope that the antibiotics are starting to kick in now my lovely xx
Karen, I love the beautiful blend of colours I wouldn’t think to use together. That’s where the colour cubes are so helpful. And a great idea to use the background as part of the frame. That’s going on my “must remember” list xx
I’ve had a busy afternoon doing lots of silly little jobs that don’t show but needed doing. I hope you all sleep well. Take care. Love Sue xx
