Good Wednesday Morning Ladies,
We had another sunny but chilly day yesterday, Lucy wanted me to go to B & M Bargains with her to get some food storage boxes as her and Soph want to start meal prep for lunches to take to work as the choices they get at work aren't very healthy. We got home around 4.30 ish, by which time I was exhausted, Lucy was panicking because my face was really hot and red which is something I don't usually suffer with until this past few weeks, I did my BP and it was really high again, which is so frustrating because I was consistently lower last weekend (well the top number was) the bottom one never gets below high 80's and my Heart rate remains in 90's at lowest. I was hoping that if it stayed lower I wouldn't need to take the Ramipril, but it looks inevitable. 🙄
Today's reminder is another important one to remember, Paul reminded me of that yesterday, I wrote about how 'lucky' I was to have him in my life, his reply was "Well I'm lucky too" and that I should feel like I am valued too. x
On Monday I had one of 'those' days, I sat at my desk for most of the day and made nothing, I couldn't decide what to use or where to start, so at around 4pm, I closed my eyes and picked a stamp set......
I have had this stamp for a good couple of years, I have seen many cards that in fact inspired me to buy this stamp set, a lot of them had a polka dot like background that I loved, I have bought two different stamp sets trying to get the same effect, but the dots were either too regimented or the dots were too big, more like splatters. So I had this brainwave yesterday, I used my black Calligraphy ink to do my own splattered background,
It still didn't look like I wanted it to but it was Okay, so I moved on to stamping and colouring the flowers, I then looked at the stamp set beside me and I noticed the stamp in the top right corner,
The DOTS!!! Yes the dots that they use to make the dotty background, all this time I had the stamp to make the background right THERE 🙄🙄🙄🤣😂
What a twit I am!!
I coloured the flowers with my Clean Colour Pens and washed the colour out to the edges with a paint brush and water. I set this to dry and then die cut the flowers.
I decided to use that dotty stamp to create my background, guess what my lovelies..... it's the results I have been trying to acheive for many many months 🙃 🤣😂
I stamped the border lines up the left side and across the bottom. I stamped the sentiment and then added the flowers to the right hand side of the card I added 3 little sparkles to finish the card.
I hope that you all have a good day,
Love and hugs to all,
Sandra xxx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteI love your beautiful card today 😍 The stamp set is lovely and I did chuckle about the little dots! 🤣
A lovely reminder for us all.
Sad to hear your day out with Lucy ended up with your blood pressure being so high 🥺 Take it easy today my lovely.
I’m waiting for a call from the GP this morning about my opticians referral for high pressure in one of my eyes. Its only slightly higher so I’m hoping it will just be a case of eye drops, although my mum said she’s had the laser surgery for hers and it’s nothing to worry about.
Brenda, it’s good to hear you’re managing the stairs now, you’re doing really well 🥰
Have a good day everyone
Sending hugs to you all xx
Beautiful card today lovely colours you’ve used to bring out the best in this stamp. I can see lots of possibilities for this stamp set I think my wish list has started up again. Ha ha, did it ever go away?
ReplyDeletePleased you got out with Lucy but what a shame it had such an effect on your blood pressure.
My daughter tells me there’s an article in the Mail Online today saying Ramipril batch GR164099 has been recalled as the factory has mixed them up and if you’ve been given any of that batch you should return them to the pharmacy. Fortunately my batch number isn’t the same.
Have a good day everyone, it’s lovely here the sun is shining. my physiotherapist has been and we had a walk outside, we walked almost to the corner of my road and then came back indoors and did some more exercises including climbing the stairs again!!
I should be super fit after all this.
Hugs Brenda XXX
Your card is lovely You made me laugh about the dots (although I liked the first attempt too) I have a stampinUp one that I have used especially with the AALL & CREATE Through the Meadows stamp set #449 just to extend it slightly
ReplyDeleteNails and hair done this morning
I am thinking that if you have been prescribed Ramopril you should start taking it (one check batch number) coz it seems to me that the one drug you are taking isn’t enough …
Good to see you’re getting the physio support you need Brenda and things are improving I think in this area I’d be luck to get a sheet of paper with the exercises on and no physio visiting
Take care everyone xx
I know I’m very fortunate the health services around here are pretty good. ALSO I have a sheet (actually 2) with the exercises on set out like a comic strip for me to use when Im doing them on my own, so even i cant go wrong!!!!!
DeleteHello, it’s been a bit sunny here today, but very cold.
ReplyDeleteSorry I missed yesterday, it wasn’t a great one for me.
Sandra love today’s card, it’s a very useful set especially as it has the background stamps included. Think you could do many different things with them. They would also be good in black and white on a coloured background.
I have spent the day looking for bits to do a In the kitchen journal page. Found a few bits now to make them look good.
Brenda glad you are recovering so well, you are fortunate to have physio therapy provided.
Have a good evening all Lilian
