Let's look at our Autumn projects

Good  Sunday Morning Ladies,

I hope that you all stayed safe in the high winds,  we were well and truly battered but luckily only had minor damage,  which Paul went out and rectified,  it was more frustrating than anything listening to it howling through the windows all night,  it also sounded like it was slamming into the windows when it was gusting!   The girls went into work but not every thing was open, someone didn't put their handbrake on when they left their car and two Keepers had to jump in and physically stop their car as the wind was that strong it was blowing it along into the path of vehicles!  Hopefully it calms down quickly.
We had a lovely chill out day as the weather put pay to any outdoor activities,  I reorganised some of my craft stash (again) but it gives me pleasure so definitely not a chore!

I hope that you all had a good day, now lets look at what Autumn loveliness Lilian Karen & Maria have made  ....

Lilian

Lilian's Description:

Here is an old card that works for the challenge.
Lavinia stencil, stamping up leaves, sorry not sure of the colours used

Lilian thank you so much for going to the trouble of searching through and finding a piece thats perfect for our Autumnal challenge.  I love the colours you used and your lovely blending  XXX

Karen

Karen's Description:

Here’s an autumn card I used JL Gerbera/daisies to crate sunflowers..?
And used this as inspiration.......

I have to say that I love your version!  Your colours are perfect for the season!
Thank you so much for an amazing Autumnal card XXX

Maria

Maria'a Description:

Hi Sandra.

I was playing around yesterday with some leaves I picked up outside and gave some colour in autumn colours. I now wished I hadn't put the little ones on but thought they were flying in the air which clearly didn't work 🤭. Couldn't find any different words either so left it blank as it went in the bin!

You are way too harsh on yourself,   I totally see your vision of the leaves swirling around in the air,  you won't have experienced it in Italy but we have had that 'leave swirling' weather here this week!  Your blended background is amazing,  just look at the amazing texture in that leaf, your colouring has highlighted it perfectly.

I can't believe you binned it,  here's a hint...if you aren't sure about a project like this pop it in a journal, that way you can look back on it,  make a note of the colours and techniques you have used, so even if you wouldn't send it to anyone you can keep it as a reference!

Thank you for creating a piece for the challenge while rushing to get ready to leave for Italy XXX

******************

I hope that you all have a lovely Sunday,

Love & hugs to all of you,

Sandra xxx

  1. Beautiful work ladies and yes Maria, you are too hard on yourself That’s a great idea by Sandra to create a journal I have started to do that (a little) with the Thrinchies by Tracy Evans in that I have “botched” ones too
Yesterday wasn’t too bad but coming home from wedding on Friday was a little fraught The leaves/twigs were being tossed around making it feel like we were on a blizzard and a conked or acorn hit the roof of car which was so loud it made me jump I couldn’t wait to get onto a main road that didn’t have trees
R&R day today Will catch up with Strictly I might have a play with gel plate - had for yonks and not used it yet
    Take care everyone xx

  2. Hi everyone
Lovely inspirational creations this week 😍
Maria, a fabulous idea to use the leaves you found 😊 I agree with Sandra and Karen, you are too harsh on yourself 🥰 Your holiday sounds wonderful, enjoy Sorrento. Italy is on my bucket list 😊
Sorry, I was late sending in my card, had a busy day yesterday.
No damage here fortunately from the high winds.
Hope you’re all having a good weekend
Sending hugs to you all xx

  3. Hi, dull but dry, managed to do three loads of washing.

Great art for inspiration today, sorry to show an older sample but with the family here didn’t get chance to do a new one.
They have gone home now, really miss them when they have gone home.
Have a pleasant evening everyone. Lilian

  4. Hi Sandra and everyone.
Beautiful cards, all with the lovely colours.
Maria I agree with the others, your card shouldn’t have gone in the bin. Lovely blending. I wish I could get mine to blend better. I have so many pieces that I have thrown away but I must remember to keep the worst ones to die cut small pieces from. I’m glad you had a lovely holiday. Al dente is just how we like our pasta. I bet the food was great, but not for the scales though 😄xx
Sandra, I am glad you didn’t get much damage. The winds were awful weren’t they.
We didn’t suffered any damage either luckily.
Lilian sorry to hear your green house was blown around xx
A quiet day here for me after another day in bed yesterday! Take care. Love Sue xx
