A different technique Im not sure I like it!

Good Friday Morning Ladies,

I am in shock that it's Friday already,  it literally feels like it was 2 days ago that we set off!

We had a quiet day yesterday,  we went and did a 'big shop' in the morning,  its currently 3 30pm I am sat reading, Paul was reading but he is now having a well deserved nap in his sun lounger.  We may go to the beach for a couple of hours later.  Its 32° at the moment so its a bit warm for being out in the sun.

Now I'm not really a fan of this card, but sometimes we have to show the things that don't work as well as we'd hoped.   I used the dies from the IndigoBlu magazine to cut a pile of leaves and flowers in white and then adhered them to the card base and gave them 5 minutes to dry, the next step was to blend Seedless Preserves Distress ink from the bottom of the page and Kitsch Flamingo from the top, its really hard to blend over the die cuts, which create a 'faux' emboss, I was trying to get the perfect blend to the point that my arm ached!  I will add that this was a technique featured in the magazine!  I then did emboss resist on oval label and inked the same as background,  I followed the design

  1. Hi everyone
I think that you have made a good job of this technology and it looks nice. I might try it next week sometime as we also are having a heatwave this weekend again.
You are lucky to have the pool and beach near so you can have a dip when it gets too much.
My sister is calling so best to take it. Have a good day everyone
Many hugs to you all xxx

  2. Hi Sandra and all looking in. Not sure where yesterday went but I love the clean and simple card and the sentiment is beautiful.
I love the idea of todays technique but I know I would find it almost impossible to blend the inks at all as you struggled. I don’t ever remember seeing this technique but maybe I will just do a white one 🤭 I love the dies and the sentiment. I am going to see if I can get this magazine as I love just about all of the stamps too. I know you both will be enjoying your time alone and I hope you can get into the sea more than last year when it was toi rough sometimes my lovely xx
Maria, I hope you got on as well as possible at the dentist xx
I am just about to sit at my desk to make a card!!! First time for ages. I need to look back and see what the challenge is so that I can hopefully make it fit. Enjoy the sun today. It is going to get really hot over the next week or so isn’t it if the forecast is to be believed! Take care. Love Sue xx

  3. Hello, I’m on my own again today and tomorrow, R away in Leicester, home tomorrow night.

Haven’t been doing much, as unfortunately I had a bee sting on my finger last night, it was so painful and swollen. It’s years since I had one.
Hope the holiday is going well. I think the card is great, had a look, think it’s a bit beyond me.
Hope you have a good evening all. Lilian
