Die cut Christmas card

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all as well as can be expected,  as always gentle hugs to those that need one. 😘

I was determined to sit and craft yesterday although my mind didn't really want to join in,  so I wasn't going to try anything too demanding!.....Or so I thought l,  this card took me an absolute age!  All of the die cuts took 3 colours that had to be die cut separately, so I think all in all it took a good 2 and a half hours!!  Diecutting,  colouring,  adhering all the layers together.  The candle was 6 layers on its own! 🙄

I embossed the background,  then raised the candle on foam pads and then I arranged and adhered the the foliage at the bottom of the candle.  I was inspired by a card on pinterest but they used a huge sentiment at the top, I wasn't keen on that so I stamped a smaller one.  I do really like it, its very detailed.

I hope that you all have a good Thursday,

Love & hugs to all of you,

Sandra xxx

  1. It’s beautiful I know what you mean about all of the layers needing to be die cut I have a couple of sets like that ie a Tim Holtz snowman and a Karen Burniston gnome! They can get very faffy

  2. Hi everyone
A lovely card and it looks easy to make but understand what work that is to make, so many layers. Beautiful embossing, like a draped curtain.
I haven't even started on a card yet. Are we still doing the tic tac toe ?
I'm home alone this evening, OH going to football, not sure what I do but usually it is Tv in the evenings.
Have a good day everyone. Many hugs, Maria xx

  3. Hello, everyone, another dull drizzley day, seems to be going colder.

Love your card, can understand why it took so long, well worth the effort though.
R is going to Leicester for a couple of days, first time on my own for some time. It’s going to seem a long time, will try and do some crafting.
Hope you all have a good rest of the day.
