Good Morning Ladies,
Did anyone else struggle with the humidity yesterday? It felt like we were brewing for a storm all day, I had a dull headache that wouldn't shift and felt generally 'off'. I found it so hard to sit and concentrate on anything although I had great plans to get a few cards made. I think a few of us are struggling with an absent 'mojo' at the moment, I think that mine hasn't been right since being unwell that week before the wedding and having to push through feeling awful so that my sister had a petfect wedding day. I will say that both her snd her new husband (Mat) couldn't have been more grateful to both my Sister Claire, myself and my family.
Anyway thank heavens for Pinterest, I went on to look for inspiration for a Fern stamp I have and saw this card made by a lady called Robin Broom, the first thing that caught my eye was the colour combination, Night of Navy & Crumb Cake, which is basically Navy and Kraft card. The products that she used I had already so I thought I'd give it a go, I like the journal page style if it too with that die cut hole punch edge. I had also forgotten how lovely the papers were that came with this stamp set, tje piece I used on this card is like s book page with gold splatters. I picked up the hints of gold with those gold die cut foliage.
Hopefully I will find my Mojo while I am clearing my desk ready for the Sky Engineer coming, after a month of no service!!

Yes it was very humid yesterday, thought it was just me. Feels a little fresher this morning though.

ReplyDeleteI don’t remember much of yesterday 🤣 After unpacking I spent most of the day catnapping! But I did do a card - a copy of one from an Indigoblu magazine I think 99% of the time I rely on magazine or Pinterest for crafting ideas
Off to Knit and Natter this morning I’m looking forward to seeing the group and actually physically doing some crochet - normally I would do some crochet every day but haven’t done any for over a week!

It wasn't so humid here yesterday but my ibs is still making me feel sick, it goes up and down. Expecting rain here at noon and I'm back in long-sleeved top. The rest of Europe seem to have a lovely summer already with +24c.

ReplyDeleteNot a lot happening here today, spent some time in the greenhouse then came back indoors and finished reading a book I started at the weekend. I have a pile of unread books to pick from for my next reading session.
