Friday Flowery throwback card !!!

Good Friday Morning Ladies,

Well where did yesterday disappear to??  I was sat at my desk most of the afternoon,  I got 3/4 way through a 'Ticketed Snippet ' by Tracy Evans but we had scheduled a family facetime to discuss wedding day timings,  my goodness its going to be a long weekend let alone day!  Then my brother facetimed just as we finished dinner, by the time he said goodnight it was 10.20pm!  I hadn't done blog or 'Do-Lene ', so today's blog is written from my bed!

Maria, I hope you are feeling better today, I have had Labyrinthitis a couple of times so I can totally sympathise with you its awful, might be good to call gp if you still have symptoms my lovely,  phoning your dad must have been hard but I'm sure you felt a bit better when you had done it.  Sending you huge hugs xxx

Lilian, omg you must have been terrified,  poor Roger must be in so much pain.  I hope you have gotten over the shock my lovely and that R is on the nend.  XXX

Sonia I hope that your foot is less painful today,  typical when you have  few days off!  A good excuse for doing no housework and sitting with your foot elevated on the sofa watching a film XXX

Karen I hope the boys enjoyed the horse racing,  sometimes men have no idea, I remember as a child my Dad would insist on us going Power Boat Racing every Sunday we were on holiday at Oulton Broad in Norfolk,  we were all so bored, we had to sit for hours too!  You and Alan will be exhausted by the weekend! XXX

Sue how's the cake coming along, don't forget to take a photo when its done xxx

Today's card is a throwback from 2020, when I read the post it actually had me in tears as it was the day aftet Paul's major eye surgery, there must have been a heat wave too and we had storms that caused damage to veg plot that I was having to try and manage as Paul had to 'posture ' with his head down for 23 hours a day, it made ne think of you Lilian,  you just don't ever expect your 'rock' that cares for you being the one that needed caring for, seeing Paul like that was hands down the hardest time of my life, it's devastating to say the least.

Here is the card description. .....

This particular card I made using the SU Delightful Daisy stamp set and matching punch.

I stamped the Daisy onto parchment/vellum 4 times using Versamark ink and I added white embossing powder and heat set.

TIP: When embossing stamped images on Vellum or parchment only apply heat until the powder has melted, if you overheat the embossing can just lift off of the paper.

I punched the Daisies and added a small dome of Glossy Accents into the centre of two of the Daisies,  I then added some of Pink Frogs coloured pollen, it looks so realistic.  While they were drying I prepared my base card.

I made a base card using Gray card, I then cut a smaller mat of Grey card and a yellow piece slightly larger, I took the smallest grey piece and stamped the Daisy stems on it in Versamark and heat set using white embossing powder. I assembled the card and added the Vellum Daisy flowers.

The sentiment I stamped onto a small off cut of card and the punched it out, same with the yellow scalloped circle.  I hope you like my card.

I hope that you all have a good day,

Love & hugs

Sandra xxx

  1. Beautiful card At first I thought you had matted it on to navy etc not grey but either way it looks beautiful
I hope R is improving What a scare for you
I hope you’re feeling better Maria and the cake is coming along OK Sue
Yesterday went better than I thought especially as there was absolutely nothing for children On a couple of occasions people said “there’s only 4 weeks to go” so I must have looked frazzled trying to manage Oscar at times plus not feeling very well myself Like you said Sandra men have no idea!
    A real duvet day today
    Take care everyone xx
