An oldie for Friday

Good Friday Morning Ladies,

A busy day today,  got lots of pre-holiday preparations to do,  we lost the whole day yesterday,  leaving at 10.30am to go to bladder clinic,  we popped into Tesco for a few bits and a toasted ham & cheese sandwich and a pot of tea,  Tesco café make the best toasties!  I sipped at the tea, it's a tricky one as I have to hold the infusion in my bladder for 3 hours!  Not drinking goes against my bladder health,  I am hoping and praying that this installation doesn't cause a flare up,  I am still on Anti Biotics for uti too,  fingers crossed they help.

Well ladies I'm not sure how I feel about this reminder,   the word 'disorder ' seems an odd word to use. I like the leaves though 🤣😂

Today I am sharing a card that's from around 10 years ago,  I made it using Sue Wilson New York collection,  I believe this one is called 'Union Square'.   I do remember how much we all loved both 'Periwinkle' & 'Coconut White' back then.  Do any of you still have it in your stash?

I love the card,  I don't think that it looks too 'outdated ' That collection were some of the best that she designed.  There wasn't anything else like it back then.  Do any of you still have any of the New York collection?  I do have them somewhere.

I hope that you all have a great Friday,

Love & hugs,

Sandra xxx

  1. Great look back and I don’t think it has dated too much It very much depends who the recipient is
🤦🏼‍♀️ I have the Times Square, Madison Square, Herald Square and the New York Corner and Border sets🤦🏼‍♀️ I haven’t used them much recently although I do still use “older” dies
I don’t like the word “disorder” either I'm going to Google the meaning 🤣
Out to lunch with SIL Yay! No cooking!
    Take care everyone xx

  2. Hi everyone
Love your throwback card today. I also have one of the New York collection die sets, but can’t remember which one, along with many others of Sue’s dies.
    Having a lazy day today!
Sending hugs to you all xx

  3. Hi, it’s still windy and cold, although the weather is still very cold and windy.
Love your throw back card, I didn’t buy any of those die’s at the time ,because at the time I did mostly: stamping. Still love stamping, but with arthritis in my thumbs it’s not so easy.
Tend to use my journals now.
Finished my challenge for this week, using my made papers, had trouble because my printer would not take thicker card. Used thin paper but not very good.
    Have a good evening all.

  4. Hi Sandra and all looking in.
I remember that gorgeous blue. Don’t have any left but it was my favourite.
The card is still as lovely now. I’m always amazed at how you can still remember the different names. Even before my memory became bad I still didn’t remember peoples names let alone the different die sets etc.
I can’t remember the names of any I bought but loved most of her releases back then.
I hope you are feeling ok bladder and uti wise my lovely. Definitely don’t need either problem when you are trying to pack etc.
I have finally finished emptying the craft units. Not up to anything else today.
Have a nice evening and enjoy the sun dig yoh have it like we do. Take care. Love Sue xx

  5. Hi everyone
It's a lovely card and I do believe that I have some of the NY sets in my folders. I liked using her dies so maybe a challenge for us one day......
Another day with showers but a bit warmer so didn't have to put any heating on today. Did another wash after coming back from a outing to Dobbies for a monthly free coffee. Everything had changed in store so you had to walk around it all before getting to the café and they were soon opening up for the Woolen Mill. They really competing against Frost these days.
Had a chat with my sister this afternoon and then the day was gone 🙂
Sending hugs to you all, Maria xx
