Good Friday Morning Ladies
We had a lovely day in London, the girls thoroughly enjoyed the museums, I wanted to do V &A but after the Natural History Museum and Science museum it was 6pm so it had closed, Paul and I will come back on our own and do it. After that we went into Leicester Square for the evening, the girls wanted to try a new food market, it has lots of different food vendors under one roof, so Lucy had a 'Poke' bowl wish Salmon suchi, over steamed rice with avocado, edamame beans, kimchi and a few other bits, Soph and I had Thai food, Paul had a 'Yorkshire ' wrap, which was a large Yorkshire pudding filled with loads of roast beef, mash, cabbage and a pot of gravy, he loved it. We were full and exhausted!! Lucy's step counter said she had done 21, 748 steps!
Today we are off to Kew Gardens, I am so pleased I bought a new 'big coat' as it was really cold all day.
Today I am sharing this absolutely incredible page that our Sonia made, the sentiment looks like it had always been there! Everything works so beautifully!
Sonia's Description
I have used Stamperia’s Dewdrop collection. I cut the hills from another piece from the collection and adhered to the main piece. I inked the edges of paper and sentiments with Vintage Photo distress ink. I fussy cut the lady and gently inked around her to hide any imperfections. The sentiment is an Inkylicious stamp, and I added a strip of snowflake Pet tape down the one side. Snowflakes are Memory Box.
Oh Sonia this is a stunning journal page, thank you so much for sharing it with us XXX
I hope that you all have a lovely day,
Love and hugs to all
Sandra xxx

Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing my journal page ๐ I really enjoyed making it and the Dewdrop collection is so easy to work with ๐
Sounds like you had a wonderful day yesterday. The food market sounds fabulous! Enjoy your day at Kew Gardens today ๐
Have a good day everyone whatever you’re doing.
Sending hugs to you all xx
Fabulous page Sonia These papers are beautiful
ReplyDeleteI’m glad you had a lovely day yesterday It’s a shame you missed the V&A it is one of my favourite museums
We’re at our local indoor bowls centre for a roll up First session since Christmas
Take care everyone because you do matter xx
Hi, all.
ReplyDeleteSonia what a fabulous journal page the colours are just right together. I think Stamperia papers are some of the best for journaling, enjoy doing lots more.
I just can’t believe it’s raining again today, and very windy and cold.we have no car at the moment, took it to our usual garage, they looked it over and found it was the automatic gear box.
Charged £160 to find the fault, then decided they couldn’t repair it and didn’t point R to a garage that would be able to do it. So at the moment we have no transport. Every thing seems to be going wrong at the moment, I suppose it must be our age.
Hope you are having a lovely time at Kew today. Have lovely memories of there as our daughter got married there, luckily it was fine weather.
Hope everyone has a good afternoon, Lilian
Hi Sandra and everyone. A lovely steampunk piece yesterday. Lovely to hear you all had a great time yesterday and hopefully today too at Kew xx
ReplyDeleteSonia, what a beautiful card. I love the delicate colours xx
Brenda, I hope you are settled back in at home. You can really start to recover now you have John by your side and all of the home comforts we so often take for granted xx
Lilian, how lovely to have memories of your daughter’s wedding at Kew Gardens. Sorry to hear about your car trouble. I hope you get it back on the road soon. Can you talk to neighbours and look up reviews of garages near you. Not very good of your usual one to leave you high and dry! No doubt it will make you think twice of returning to them for anything after such shoddy treatment. I hope the rain eases up for you xx
We have wasted most of the day waiting for someone from Triton to check our new shower which is running either realky cold or burning hot. They were meant to be here between 10am-12 noon. Finally arrived at 3.30pm! And then tried to tell Chris that “We don’t have the right water pressure as it was too high but Thames water does turn it up and down sometimes”. As you can imagine after being told such absolute nonsense Chris was not amused to say the least. He has already got Thames Water booked to come out and have a look and he will talk to trading standards on Monday, or whatever they are now called as we had to pay £99 upfront to Triton which they only refund if the fault is theirs. Why do so many companies try and tell you a pack of lies which anyone can see straight through? Lots don’t seem to care any more? We have had always had Triton showers and until now we have never had a problem. Anyway we are still without a shower that we can just use without thinking about. Rant over ๐
Sleep well everyone. Take care. Live Sue xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteFabulous page Sonia. You have used some lovely papers. I must have a look at them again.
Oh Sandra, your day sounded absolutely great and so much walking around. Hope you had a lovely day at Kew gardens. Still a place I like to see one day. Lovely memories Lilian.
Hopefully you soon have the car back..
Karen, hope you had a fun day playing the bowls.
Brenda, have they let you out yet ๐ hopefully they have as long you got a nurse.
I had a long facetime with my sister today who is taking care of mum and dad as much as she can. It's not easy because she has fibromyalgia too and her husband has chrones disease so has their own problems but it looks more and more that my dad will have to have his other leg amputated after he's sore on the heel doesn't heal up.
I'm saying good night and sending you all some hugs. Maria xx
