Mixed Up Saturday

Good Saturday Morning Ladies,

I saw this picture above on Facebook yesterday and it made me chuckle so I thought you might find it amusing too! 😄 🤣

Well I was worried I wouldn't be able to get a blog post up for today as we kept losing power yesterday afternoon,  it was off for most of the afternoon and for some reason both Sophie and I lost our 4G/5G phone signal too,  we did laugh as Soph said well we are going to sit and talk to each other!  🤣😂

My photos won't do Sophie's latest art piece for the Wildlife park justice but I am bursting with pride and want to share it with you.

This piece to go with the last one she did on the large pillars by the servery in the Restaurant,  it's about 5ft tall.

This is one of the Red Panda's that live at the Wildlife park,  just look at those incredible brush stroke details on its tail.

Ring tail Lemurs in that amazing forest canopy, their enclosure at the park isn't quite as beautiful,  Soph has somehow captured the 'atmosphere' of the rain forest, the foliage looks so realistic, the reflection in the water isn't a main feature but she has captured it perfectly.

How adorable are this pair of Otters, so detailed right down to the twinkle in their eyes, I love those ferns too.

This part makes me want to grab my bottle of Timotei shampoo ! 🤣😂 Do you remember those adverts!!

This gorgeous snake is an Eyelash Viper, I think this took a good majority of the overall time, as you can see every scale on its skin and again look at its eye!

I hope that they appreciate this incredible piece of art!

Nobody could be prouder than Paul and I are ! 😍🥰

Now onto our eldest daughter....

These are the hotel rooms,  they look amazing!

This was the incredible bed art that greeted them when they arrived.

Their first sunrise taken from their balcony

The incredible views from the deck

What stunning views from the boat trip the went on,  the boat is the same as the one on the right.

She has said that they are having an amazing time, I hope they are making lots of lovely memories 😍🥰

I hope that you are all safe and dry,  we have a lot of flooding around us, the rain was so heavy and didn't stop all day.

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra xxx

  1. OMG! What stunning artwork Sophie The detailing is amazing Made me a little emotional because Gary was Head Primate Keeper at Paradise Wildlife Park (now called Hertfordshire Zoo) I think their red pandas have just entered a breeding program and coincidentally he kept snakes at home!
    Becca’s honeymoon photos look beautiful
Need to do a bit of housework- that’s the problem after a holiday isn’t it - getting back into the swing of every day life
    Take care everyone xx

  2. Hi everyone
    Love the picture 😂
Sophie’s artwork is fantastic 😍 It will look amazing in the wildlife park. Well done Sophie xx
Becca’s photos look beautiful. Glad they’re having a lovely time.
Although it was raining here yesterday I think we missed the worst of it. By late afternoon it wasn’t as bad. Very foggy this morning though.
Hope you all have a good weekend
Sending hugs to you all xx

  3. Sophie‘s artwork is brilliant. I’m sure it will be appreciated by everyone visitors and staff at the wildlife Park, Thank you for sharing these pictures with us. And yes …. You’ve every right to be proud of her. She as she is such a gifted artist
Love Becca‘s photos Each view is stunning. The honeymoon suite looks fabulous I hope they are both relaxing and having a lovely time.
I had to smile at the poster you found on Facebook. Sometimes when I buy craft supplies, I quietly slipped them into my craft room because I know the reaction from OH will be “not more stuff’ !!!!
Hope everyone’s having a good day sending hugs to you all, Love Brenda

  4. Hi everyone.
Funny saying, isn't that so true 😂
Oh your Sophie has such a talent. Every inch of that painting is amazing. I Love it 💕
Nice photos from Rebecca's honeymoon, wishing them a wonderful time.
Weather is so bad but thankfully no flooding around us. Feel sorry for anyone who have it tho, all that muck to clean up after.
Had a week of up and downs 😔 so nothing did get done crafting wise. Think I have to take a break until mojo and energy is back. Sorry don't like letting you down 😞
Sending big hugs to you all and extras for anyone who need some. xxx

  5. Good evening all, a dry day at last, no sun but at least it’s dry.

The poster is very funny, but it doesn’t apply here. R is very generous thank goodness.
Sophie is very talented, her paintings are amazing, hope the wildlife park appreciates them.
Becca’s honeymoon pictures are lovely, hope they are having a great time.
Been busy shredding old bank statements, must keep up to date with doing it, upset a load of paper bits all over the floor, I’m so clumsy these days, at least they are small enough to clear up with the vacuum cleaner.
    Hugs to all, Lilian

  6. Hi Sandra and everyone.
A gorgeous card yesterday, love the beautiful flowers and the bright and cheerful colours, just what I need at this time of year.
I hope you are starting to feel the benefit of the second lot of antibiotics and that you get the ok to trial the new drug xx
Becca and Adam’s honeymoon home looks like it is a stunning place and beautiful country and sea all around them. If anyone deserves to have a wonderful time it is both Becca after all she has been through and alsoAdam as he will have been so worried about her.
I am so lucky to get to see Soph in action painting this latest sign. The detail is unbelievable, you really can see each hair on the animals….in fact just everything is so detailed. The more you look the more you see the details. If she were to be paid for the going rate of an artist as talented as her she would be making a small fortune. I know Soph wouldn’t want people making a fuss of her but it would be nice if the park put a sign up explaining to visitors that the artist works at the park xx
I’m glad everyone seemed to have not had any damage over the last day or two. I have been in bed again for a couple of days..…stupid head! Sat downstairs this evening and watched a film with Chris and Gem which was nice. Sleep well. Take care. Love Sue xx
