My 'Shades of' Challenge card

Good Morning Ladies,

It's my favourite day of the week....because the weekend is just beginning!!

Today's card is my version of this weeks 'Shades of ' Challenge.

I began by stamping the leaf sprig all around my card in versamark, I added White Embossing powder and heat set
Now I decided on 'Shades of Green' (obviously) although some of the colours might be classed as 'blues'.  Anyway the colours are Coastal Cabana & Bermuda Bay, I usedca blending tool and added ink diagonally, Coastal Cabana,  Bermuda Bay,  Coastal Cabana, I allowed it to dry for a few minutes and then i used a cloth to buff off the excess ink, bringing the brightness back to the white foliage.
To make my sentiment stand out from the background I decided to add a die cut oval, inking around tje edge with Coastal Cabana to make it blend into the background. I cut my sentiment out of Bermuda Bay and mounted onto the white oval mat.
I hope you like it.
I have been so busy making other things this week that I haven't had time to play with this challenge as much as I would have liked so I think we will be having this challenge again.

Challenge For Next Week

I have chosen a TicTacToe for next weeks Challenge, I hope it won't confuse anyone but there was always going to be a crossover week.
So cards for this Challenge need to be in for me to post next Sunday (17th Feb).

There are some lovely categories in this particular TicTacToe grid, especially for anyone wanting to make Spring cards, Easter, Mothers Day etc.
I hope you enjoy it my lovelies. xxx

I would like to thank all of you for your amazing support regarding changing the challenge announcement day, I was discussing it with Sue on Wednesday and sometimes when you make a suggestion out loud to somebody else it seems to make more sense.
I don't want to be overly strict about deadlines, it's me that has to make changes too, I usually upload the cards as they come in and then when I am writing the post on a Saturday I have to then 'upload the cards from my file to the blog, which can take hours because of our Stupidly slow internet.
So I am now not going to worry about cards being in alphabetical order I will open a blog post and add the cards as they arrive, that way it will only be the odd one or two at the end.
I would rather take a little longer and have everyone involved.
I have never been one to 'schedule' blog posts, Our Blog is unique in that the craft is only part of the blog, our little blog family is the biggest and most important part to me.  So I always have to write or edit the blog the night before it goes up, so that we are all up to date with each others lives.

Thank you all once again, I hope that you all have a lovely weekend,

Love and hugs,

Sandra

Sandra-love today’s Cards, it’s great. Thank you for the niext challenge & I know you don’t like imposing deadlines but maybe there should be a “cut off” point for us sending in our photos to you that way you don’t spend all Saturday afternoon/evening working on Sunday blog post.

I’m really looking forward to my 3 day weekend despite the weather warning! I’m popping out this afternoon to collect something but I’m hoping to craft the rest of the day.

Been to craft club today, always enjoyable. Lovely group of ladies. Went straight from there to get my hair done. Lynn then picked me up with Gracie in the car and dropped us both off at our Park for a walk. Got in at 5, completely tired out. Still not walking without pa but thank goodness I have to x-ray tomorrow an the result in Monday.

Lynda, lovely news about your holiday. Where about in Spain will you be staying?

Hugs to all with special ones for Pat and Pete.
